Anti-Law Enforcement group backs Mikie Sherrill

According to a press release put out by the anti-law enforcement group, United We Dream, on July 19, 2018, the SEIU organization representing its members in Florida joined with the following hodgepodge of socialists, social justice warriors, and just plain aiders and abetters of criminals to protest the work of American border control law enforcement officers charged with preventing the illegal transportation into America of illegal narcotics, opioids, illegal firearms, human trafficking (modern slavery) and the trafficking of women and children for the purposes of sexual exploitation.

seiu abolish ice.jpg

The list of groups (taken directly from their press release) were… “United We Dream, the Florida Immigrant Coalition, Circle of Protection of Miramar, Women Working Together USA, National Latina Institute for Reproductive Health, Miami Workers Center, Friends of Miami Dade Detainees, SEIU, Power U, Dream Defenders, Women’s March, We Count, Miami DSA, FLSPN, Socialista, SWER and New Florida Majority.”

Their message was loud and clear (the headline of their press release): “Shut It Down! Abolish ICE! Immigrants & Allies Take Over Street For Eight Hours Outside Miramar ICE Facility.”

Fast forward to today and we have the organization that represents those same SEIU members in Florida issue a formal endorsement of Mikie Sherrill.  A Democrat who rose to power on the shoulders of the Antifa activists who hounded Vietnam Vet Rodney Frelinghuysen out of office, knowing that he was old and unwell, they cranked up the invective until the old gentleman had to leave if he wanted to avoid a stroke.  Such is the viciousness of these people.

32-BJ SEIU announced that it was supporting Mikie Sherill, because she “will uphold progressive values” like porous borders through which illegal narcotics, opioids, illegal firearms, human trafficking (modern slavery) and the trafficking of women and children for the purposes of sexual exploitation will continue to flow.  Their goal is to do away with law enforcement.

No wonder so many labor unions representing working class Americans look on the SEIU as a group of crazy renegades, long infiltrated and corrupted by liberal poseurs and their Wall Street paymasters.  The people who run groups like SEIU try to turn that great truism on its head:  That “there is nobody more law-abiding than those who earn their bread as the organized members of an honest trade… and nothing so corrupt as Wall Street and those who serve them.”

We hope that the 163,000 members of 32-BJ SEIU in ten northeastern states, Washington, D.C., and Florida will resist the efforts of the interlopers who have seized control over their organization to comply with the wishes of Wall Street and turn them all into wage slaves competing in a gray economy.  We hope that they will stand with all people of good will – for a safe secure border and against the modern slavery of human trafficking, the sexual exploitation of women and children, the importation of illegal narcotics, opioids, and firearms.

Talk sense to those who hold power on loan from you.  Resist.

Pastor Brad Winship on the Prophecy of Ezekiel & the Millennium

Rather than my typical commentary on the news, this week’s program is a flyover exposition on the prophecies of Ezekiel.  Ultimately we need to feed on the Word, not the media.  The media should just be a side illustration for truth.  It should probably take up less than five percent of our thoughts.

This program is for die-hard Bible students – a good resource if you are planning to read through the book of Ezekiel.  The YouTube version concentrates on chapters 34-37.  At a future date, I will do a YouTube specifically addressing Gog and Magog and the temple (chapters 39-48).

Voters don’t buy media hysteria over Manafort & Cohen

Two important polls are out this week from Rasmussen.

One, released today, notes that voters still think the highly publicized cases of Trump associates Paul Manafort and Michael Cohen will not cause criminal problems for President Donald Trump.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 44% of Likely U.S. Voters think the conviction of Manafort and the guilty pleas of Cohen are likely to lead to criminal charges against Trump. Fifty percent (50%) consider that unlikely. This includes 20% who say it’s Very Likely and 24% who see it as Not At All Likely. The question wording is below:

National Survey of 1,000 U.S. Likely Voters

Conducted August 22-23, 2018
By Rasmussen Reports

1* How closely have you followed recent news reports about the criminal cases of Paul Manafort and Michael Cohen – very closely, somewhat closely, not very closely or not at all?

2* How likely is it that that the conviction of Paul Manafort and the guilty pleas of Michael Cohen will lead to criminal charges against President Trump – very likely, somewhat likely, not very likely or not at all likely?

NOTE: Margin of Sampling Error, +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence

Another poll, also release today, reports most voters agree with President Trump that America should come first on the world stage but don't think the Democrat Party's next presidential nominee is likely to follow that path.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that, when thinking about problems in the world, 52% of Likely U.S. Voters are more interesting in finding a solution that most benefits the United States. Forty-one percent (41%) would rather find a solution that is better for the whole world.

Are all Hollywood “makers of our culture” rapists and molesters?

Liberal Hollywood runs on money.  The “art” of imagining what will hook both investors and consumers.  Hollywood is what makes our culture – has made our culture – for nearly a century.  This November we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the end of the what was built on hard work and “manifest destiny” and the beginning of the culture of modern make-believe.

It is no surprise that Hollywood is liberal.  That the “entertainment” industry and its media sidekicks are the Democrat Party’s most consistent donors.

From that perfectly “sincere” smile to his well-manicured toenails, Senator Cory Booker is a media darling.  Hollywood sees nothing wrong in the importation of women (“for a friend”) or in exchanging luxuries for “help” (“for a friend”)… and so Hollywood sees nothing wrong with Senator Bob Menendez.

And Hollywood just adores that weasel class of ex-bureaucrats with Hollywood manufactured “back stories” who now menace New Jersey’s voters… Andy “winner of the hot cross bun, with bar” Kim, Tommy (him pretty) Malinowski, and Mikie Sherrill.  BTW, “Mikie” is Hollywood for “Rebecca Michelle”.  Aside from the ubiquitous “AKAs” employed by the criminal class, apparently the two careers for which a change of name is accepted practice are Hollywood and politics.

weinstein clinton paltrow.jpg

Among the latest Hollywood icons felled by the #MeToo movement is one of its prominent feminist leaders (who is alleged to have seduced a teenaged boy).  No, it wasn’t her student and she isn’t a member of the NEA.

Then there are the two LGBT activists who drugged and raped another man.  Prior to this they were famous for having been “married” by no less than far-Left U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.  According to the New York media, the rape was “violent”.  One of those names came up as a contributor to our old pal Andy Kim, a candidate for Congress in South Jersey.  You need to check it out Andy and make sure it’s not the guy accused of rape.  See buddy, we’re giving you a heads-up (that’s the kind of sob’s we are).

We kid with Andy about him winning the “hot cross bun, with bar” because he got a civilian award from a famous general.  No, it wasn’t as important an award as the one the general’s mistress got… or as big a deal as the one the general gave to his other gal pal.  But hey, that shit probably wasn’t worth it anyway, so we’re just happy you got your handshake and photograph.  It’s all cool.

As the list of fat donors to the Democrat Party and its candidates felled by the #MeToo movement has rotted and eaten through the Democrats’ hegemony in Hollywood, their sidekicks in the media have largely looked the other way.  The Star-Ledger’s Tom Moran has, once again yesterday, used his newspaper’s editorial pages as an in-kind contribution to Democrats on the ballot this year.

weinsteinclinton.jpg

“Impeach, condemn, then execute” seems to be Tom Moran’s and the Star-Ledger’s message – for both the President and congressional Republicans – but that’s not how it used to be.  We remember finding stuff like this in the Ledger…

Kenneth Starr, meat-ax in hand, is entering the critical and, let's hope, final stages of his rugged surgery to transform Bill Clinton's image from cut-up to criminal. He must also change the country's mind-set from so-what shrugs to gasps of begone. It may take some doing.”

weinstein_obama_lauten_schumer.jpeg

Most members of Congress from New Jersey would like to hear more facts and less speculation in judging the allegations facing President Clinton, but U.S. Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-N.J.) said he's heard enough. Lautenberg, the state's senior Democrat, said he was satisfied with Clinton's denials… ‘I believe him,’ he said.”

Ah, now that was journalism.  Not what you get today…

“Dramatic, split-screen findings of criminality by President Trump's ex-lawyer and his former campaign chair this week… Both will probably go to prison, and testimony also implicates Trump in a serious crime… two women who said they had affairs with Trump… it's a felony, a final insult from a man who rose to power on a promise to drain the swamp, but instead gave it over to even bigger gang of grifters, including himself.”

“Robert Mueller, whose job it is to sort through all this stink, is pursuing his own investigation of potential collusion by the Trump administration in Russia's hacking of our 2016 election… But if the president committed election fraud, it rises to the level of ‘high crimes and misdemeanors,’ and is therefore an impeachable offense.”

“Once again, the focus turns to our own squirming GOP representatives, and we hear crickets. None would say on Wednesday what they will do to ensure that Congress investigates this; not even two newcomers running for office… Not only have they done absolutely nothing to curb Trump's swampy behavior, as he brazenly profits off his public office and invites serious conflicts of interest; all five -- including three seeking re-election -- helped to cover up any crimes…”

obama-weinstein-1200.jpg

Wow… Trump is a criminal, all Republicans are criminals… even the ones not yet in office!

This is certainly a change in tune for a newspaper that defended Hillary Clinton’s monetization of the Office of the Secretary of State, or that never asked how Bill Clinton, who entered national office a rather economically challenged man, left office decidedly well-off and who has gone on to amass a fortune worth more than $100 million.  Grifters?  Conflicts of interest?  Crickets, Mr. Moran… crickets?

In fairness to Tom Moran, this editorial came out after a particularly eventful lunch (one with which his very white gut couldn’t cope) leading to a three hour long stream of consciousness, during which his screed was composed.  In future, remember this, and don’t fault the man.  Fault his bowels.

To close on an up-note, the Star-Ledger suggested we look to the leadership of the great and the good… that godfather of a family of saints – priests even – the incorruptible Pascrells.  So what did godfather, Congressman Bill Pascrell, have to tell us about President Trump?  That his family was part of the swamp?  Too close to bad people?  Conflicted?  A crook?  “I’m the face of Democrat Party reform,” says the godfather.  Indeed.  A monograph is long overdue, charting that family’s financial progress, as godfather made his way up the greasy pole of political advancement.  The face of sweetness and light.  Indeed.

We appreciated him more when he was a little less full of shit, considering the fate of President Clinton…

“Democrat Bill Pascrell Jr. said Clinton's admissions were ‘painful to all of us,’ and added he hoped ‘we can soon put this behind us.’  But he said he could not second guess what Starr would eventually report to Congress. ‘I'll keep an open mind if I'm called to make a decision in my official capacity.’”

Yes, “an open mind” – good idea.  You do that.  Keep an open mind.

Democrat candidate cries “bullying” … wants to sue.

Like the snowflake who wanted to be a Marine but refused to go through boot camp, a Democrat candidate in New Jersey is threatening to sue his GOP opponent because he believes the Republicans are “calling him names”.  This is funny as hell, coming from a candidate of a party that calls someone a “Nazi” or a “racist” nearly every day.

A Democrat on the Little Egg Harbor Township Committee is claiming “verbal assault… slanders… harassment” and that “the damages to my political career are impossible to repair.”  Read the full story here:

https://www.nj.com/ocean/index.ssf/2018/08/local_official_threatens_1m_lawsuit_for_being_call.html

It is kind of scary, because this Democrat Party candidate wants power but he is not willing to subject himself to the public commentary that goes with power.  He just wants to be able to screw with other peoples’ lives – raise their taxes, pass their laws, regulate them, tell them what they can or cannot do – but if someone grumbles about it, he’ll sue them too (and watch out… he’ll want to use your tax dollars to smash any negative comments about what he does).  He claims that it is a case of “bullying” but we think it is one of handjobbery.

Even privates get to call generals names behind their backs.  Griping is a tradition in the military.

You have to wonder about the condition of American manhood when one of our nation’s two great political parties offers up specimens like this.  And it’s not only the wanker from Egg Harbor.  Take a look at congressional candidates Andy Kim and Tom Malinowski.  Andy actually pouts when anyone doubts the line of bullshit he serves up daily.  Kim is quite the acrobat – while insisting that he opposes war, he claims he personally ran the war in Afghanistan.  And Tommy (him pretty) Malinowski pissed and moaned to the Star-Ledger no less, demanding that they defend him from the “lies” being told by those meanie Republicans.

Are you on the receiving end of any of his missives?  Malinowski’s fundraising requests combine a breathless urgency and gentle reassurance not unlike that employed by sex workers… “you can do it, that’s okay, just… make that contribution… yes, $200 is better… that’s it…”  Heck, you get a rash just reading his stuff.

If this is America closing in on the first quarter of the new century… what will be left of it at the last quarter?

Pastor Brad Winship on good citizenship

Given the criticism and animus against the President, it is time once again to remind the citizenship that God commands us to “honor the king” and woe be to those who disobey.

After discussing the reasons for the Left’s attack on President Trump and the reasons for evangelical support, I cover how  the Christian is to respond to the government on three levels:  (1) non-violence, (2) obedience, and (3) honor.  The Christian community does well on the first two but sometimes forgets the third.

Liberals were once skeptical of the security services… how did they come to worship J. Edgar Hoover?

What passes for “liberals” today are busy tweeting and blogging and posting about how “patriotic” they are for supporting the unelected security services (CIA, FBI, NSA, TSA, et al) and how the elected President of the United States must be “resisted” because he is a “traitor” who “colluded” with “Russia” – a country they apparently liked a whole lot better when it went by the name “Union of Soviet Socialist Republics”.

Where “reds under the bed” and “the Russians are coming, the Russians are coming”, were once said to be the province of the “looney right”, today they are on the lips of that increasingly histrionic class of liberals who once did the mocking.  Things have been turned on their head since 2008, when the “second coming” arrived on promises of a new day and a fresh look but who, once in office, ruthlessly consolidated executive power to the point of prosecuting whistleblowers under the Espionage Act – as spies and “enemies of the state”.

But things didn’t get really nuts until the 2016 election of Donald Trump, who the Left seems ready to do a deal with Communist China to get rid of.  Talk about taking the concept of “the enemy of my enemy is my friend” too far… these people think a bullet through the brain is a recommended cure for toothache.

Not long ago, liberals had a more graded view of the world, the American government, and the security services.  Their art showed it.  Take this scene from Oliver Stone’s film “Nixon” – one that couldn’t or wouldn’t be made today…

Rasmussen poll: Voters Don’t Like ‘Antifa’ Protesters.

Memo to Cory Booker, Bob Menendez, Phil Murphy, Madame de La Murphy, Mikie Sherrill, Tommy Malinowski, and Andy Kim… all that hanging with the Linda Sarsour crowd and the bourgeois suburban offspring who make-up Antifa ‘aint helping your image.

Rasmussen polling reported today that most normal people think Antifa is right up there with dogshit… and their numbers have got worse since September 2017.

Rasmussen reports:  “Voters are even more critical of the so-called “antifa” protesters who surfaced again this past weekend in Charlottesville and Washington, DC and continue to think they’re chiefly interested in causing trouble.”

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that only 18% of Likely U.S. Voters share a favorable opinion of the Antifa protesters, with six percent (6%) who view them Very Favorably.  That compares to 24% and eight percent (8%) respectively last September.

Fifty-four percent (54%) have an unfavorable opinion of these protesters, including 39% with a Very Unfavorable one.  Twenty-eight percent (28%) are undecided.  See the survey question wording below:

Did he cover for a Nazi? Democrats placed in bad spot by Malinowski.

When a Republican legislator attended a country music concert last year and was photographed standing in front of the band’s banner, he was excoriated by a long list of Democrats because that band banner incorporated aspects of a “rebel” flag.  The Democrats promptly accused the Republican legislator of being a racist (even though he has African-American family members who quickly came to his defense) and called for his resignation and a boycott of his business (a course of action that caused the Executive Director of the local County Democratic Committee to break with her party and come to the defense of the Republican).

Last week, Democrat U.S. Senator Cory Booker got caught holding up an anti-Israel sign and calling for the destruction of the border security wall that has done so much to reduce the number of terrorist murders of innocent women and children by Islamic extremists.  It was a grossly irresponsible act by the increasingly light-weight, childish Senator.

booker.png

Now it’s emerged that Democrat Tom Malinowski ran an organization that was decidedly anti-Israel and that employed as one of its top operatives, a guy who is obsessed with the Third Reich.  In a column published in yesterday’s  Times of Israel, journalist Robert Goldberg writes:  “Tom Malinowski Defended Advisor’s Nazi Fetish.”

The author notes how Tom Malinowski ran Human Rights Watch’s Washington, DC, office when it came out that Marc Garlasco, Human Rights Watch’s longtime senior military advisor was “an enthusiastic collector of Nazi memorabilia.”  The column continues:  “Rather than speak out against ‘any sign of anti-Semitism’, Malinowski defended Garlasco, claiming he was just a student of history and that his critics were part ‘of a campaign to deflect attention from Human Rights Watch’s rigorous and detailed reporting on violations of international human rights and humanitarian law by the Israeli government.’”

That’s right Tom, blame the Jews themselves for the anti-Semitism inflicted upon them.  The column continues…

“The website NGO Monitor which was critical of Human Rights Watch for claiming – based on Garlasco’s assessment – Israel was guilty of war crimes during Operation Cast Lead – noted at the time, that collecting Nazi memorabilia in many European countries is illegal. ‘It is banned on many internet sites and from auction houses….The Simon Wiesenthal Center notes it glorifies the horrors of Nazi Germany.'”

Garlasco’s Screen Logo

Garlasco’s Screen Logo

Garlasco’s Flak-88 Mini Cooper

Garlasco’s Flak-88 Mini Cooper

“Garlasco’s screen logo was a picture of a German badge with a swastika.  His screen name on the Nazi memorabilia sites was Flak88, which is a German anti-aircraft gun but also a code for ‘Heil Hitler’ used by neo-Nazis to identify themselves. Though Garlasco likely knew of the dual meaning, NGO Monitor notes, ‘he even used it on his license plate (a practice which is banned in Germany) and as a screen name on websites unrelated to his Nazi collection.’  When he obtained a leather SS jacket Garlasco gushed that it made his ‘blood ran cold.  It is so COOL.’”

“… in September 2007, Garlasco wrote: ‘Need advice. So I am trying to figure out what to do. My book [on Nazi war medals] is clsoe [sic] to done, but I am not sure if I should put my name on it. If folks at work found out I might very well lose my job. That is the reality, so don’t dwell on it – ok? But this is a small group of people – should I worry? And shouldn’t I stand up for myself? And if I use a psyeudonym [sic] isn’t that worse, like I am trying to hide something?’

Garlasco then added, ‘I will talk quietly to some at work that I trust – a small group indeed.’”

“If he did talk to people at HRW in 2007, it means that someone at the organization knew about his fetish two years before he was exposed and did nothing then, as well as in 2009. HRW was, at the time, leading the effort to get the United Nations, Obama administration and Congress to endorse the Goldstone report which concluded Israel had committed war crimes and released several reports urging endorsement.  Garlasco’s claims that Israel deliberately bombed civilians and used incendiary weapons during Operation Cast Lead were cited repeatedly by the report. And Garlasco’s reports – as well as he alleged military expertise —  were being successfully .”

“…Through all this, Malinowski, who had no problem praising Garlasco before the controversy, remained silent.  Garlasco was suspended without pay pending an investigation, if It was ever conducted, has not been discussed publicly.

Malinowski’s behavior during the Garlasco affair not a profile in courage. It was an act of political expediency.  It raises the question of whether Malinowski would have defended  Garlasco was an exuberant collector KKK memorabilia. In either case, the fascination with an evil regime dedicated to killing Jews (and African Americans) is a disturbing fetish that Malinowski and HRW defended as scholarship.”

The author notes that Malinowski’s “actions then and now were inconsistent with his moralizing about running for Congress… But it is consistent with Malinowski’s leadership of HRW when it supported the virulently anti-Semitic Durban Conference on Racism in 2001 and in 2009, which, as the Forward noted, was ‘the blueprint and launching pad for the modern iteration of the boycott movement against Israel, otherwise known as BDS’.”

Author Robert Goldberg closes by asking Tom Malinowski to disclose…

“It is consistent with his leadership in developing and defending the discredited Goldstone Report as well as vigorous efforts to get the world to condemn Israel based on that review. Indeed, it is consistent with Malinowski’s accepting the endorsement of a group that honored Linda Sarsour (an admirer of Louis Farrakhan).

Mr. Malinowski should provide the public with a full and honest explanation of his defense of Garlasco’s Nazi souvenir collection as well as HRW’s campaign against Israel. It’s what any normal, decent person would do.”

Well, well, all you Democrats who lost your ass over that band banner in 2017, what say you now?  Crickets?  Well here’s a heads up, you are not going to get away with saying nothing.  We’re going to get you all on the record on this and on Booker… so beware next time someone comes up to you and says those dreaded words:  “Pardon me…”

Tom Moran is trying to fool you. He’s a partisan warrior.

Remember when ObamaCare was going to make health care less expensive?

How is that working out for you?  Are you paying less for health insurance than you were in 2008 and getting more coverage?  Or is it costing you more for less?

Sure, it’s been a deal for some.  But for most?

Ehealth, which calls itself the country’s “largest private online health insurance exchange”, issued a report in 2017 claiming that average individual health insurance premiums increased 99% under ObamaCare, with family premiums increasing by 140%.

Are these self-serving corporate statistics?  Perhaps.  But they certainly jive with what everyone’s been hearing from friends, neighbors, and family.  Health care didn’t get any cheaper for most Americans under the regime of President Barack Obama.

Of course, if you are a key corporate man with a fat paycheck and a benefits plan to die for, you don’t notice these things.  Enter the Newark Star-Ledger’s Tom Moran.

The newspaper Tom Moran works for is one of many that belongs to a family of billionaires.  Health care is not one of their personal worries.  And because he has followed their lead and done their bidding, it’s not one of Tom Moran’s personal worries either.  He’s covered.

In return, they get the use of his pen when it comes time to defend outrages like the Abbott Decision, which forces poor families in rural New Jersey to subsidize the property taxes of rich corporations and wealthy professionals living in places like Hoboken and Jersey City.  A city like Newark has enough wealth from the rich corporations and law firms that reside there to fully pay for the education of the children of their community – but because of the Courts are able to shirk that responsibility and off-load it onto the shoulders of over-taxed suburban seniors.

The rich guys who own the Star Ledger appreciate Moran’s defense of their tax dodge, as they have long had property in places covered under the Abbott Decision.  And Moran writes it in a way that them not paying their fair share is a virtue – something worthy of moral approbation.  Though he hates the Roman Catholic Church, he’s still the alter boy with his eyes set on becoming a priest, holier than thou, the holiest guy in the room – the “saint” who, under cover of darkness, you find eating worms in the sacristy basement, preparing to howl at the moon.

Tom Moran has made it is his business to attack anyone who questions the legacy of Barack Hussein Obama.  It’s religion with Tom Moran.  Having rejected the religious idealism of his youth, he needed to replace it with something.  That something became Barack Obama.  For Tom Moran, he is a Christ figure.  So naturally Tom Moran gets very emotional if someone questions why Obama got that Nobel Prize for doing nothing more than being Obama.  And that’s why Tom Moran is so angry and twisted in his attacks on anyone who questions ObamaCare (or should we call it the “sacrament” of ObamaCare?).

Unfortunately for Tom Moran, his new-found idealism is misplaced.  ObamaCare wasn’t fashioned in Nirvana but rather in the backrooms and lobbyists offices in the swamp that is Washington, DC.  There was something downright carnal about the undemocratic, top-down, vote-for-it-before-reading-it way in which it was done.  It had more to do with a whore-house than a church.  But you can’t convince Tom Moran of that.  He thinks it’s pure and, like some especially delusional Don Quixote, Tom Moran anxiously defends his whore’s honor.

The blinders necessary to accomplish this makes it impossible to see the realities of the evil of a man like Senator Bob Menendez – who helped his pal import at least two young women into the United States.  Or men like Senator Cory Booker whose childishness and wish to please has led him into the arms of people who want to finish-off every Jew in the Middle East.

booker.png

Calling for the end to the border wall and other fortifications that protect Israel against terrorists is like calling for a second Holocaust.  It is not enough that Cory Booker’s international allies have driven Jews out of every country they control, now he wants to tear down Israel’s protective barrier and allow them to march in to commence a pogrom of terror, torture, rape, and murder.

And to make matters worse, thanks to the Philadelphia Inquirer, now we know that Booker’s fellow Democrat – Bob Menendez – is allowing his campaign to be run by a lobbyist for the foreign government of Qatar, one of the worse anti-Jewish culprits in the world and a government criticized by the United Nations and Amnesty International for its relaxed attitudes towards modern slavery – human trafficking and the exploitation of children.

So why is Tom Moran silent about this?  What’s wrong, anti-Semite got your tongue?

Ditto for the three moe-moes Mikie Sherrill , Tom Malinowski, and Andy Kim.  The anti-Semites must have their tongues too.

And Tom Moran will keep on writing his apologia.

Democrat Cory Booker demands an end to the Jewish State

So why are wannabe Democrat politicians like Mikie Sherrill, Tom Malinowski, and Andy Kim hanging out with Booker and Menendez?  Andy follows Menendez around so closely that if the Senator stopped suddenly, he would find Andy’s head lodged firmly up his bunghole.  Tom and Mikie are that way with Booker too.  So what’s up with the hero worship of these cretins?

Over the last couple days, both the New York Times and its little sister, the Newark Star Ledger, have been openly advocating on behalf of congressional candidate Mikie Sherrill.  They are shilling for her, spinning for her, claiming that if she were to attend a rally of the Ku Klux Klan, she (and only she, mind you) would be doing so strictly as an observer.  One could not conclude that she was in simpatico with the Klan, even if she asked for their votes – so the New York Times and Newark Star Ledger argue – unless she actually put a torch to the cross and set it on fire.  That’s what these newspapers are arguing.  As their special pet, they claim that Mikie Sherrill should be treated like a journalist looking for copy instead of a politician looking for votes.

So if a Republican attended a far-right rally, the newspapers claim the right to link him to the far-right and then to call for his resignation.  But when a Democrat (especially their special pet, Mikie Sherrill) attended a far-left rally, and asked for their votes, the newspapers claim it is a “lie” to say that she supports them and they support her.  Of course, the old double-standard at work again.

If anyone tries to tell you that the New York Times isn’t biased, remind them of this one important FACT:  The last time the New York Times endorsed a Republican for President was in 1956.  Anyone who voted in that election would be at least 83 years old today.  Any American under 83 has never seen a New York Times endorsement of a Republican.  That’s pretty damned biased.

Like Andy Kim and Tom Malinowski, Mikie Sherrill is a former Obama administration bureaucrat who responded to the election of a new American President by becoming part of a “resistance” movement.  So much for democracy, the rule of law, the Republic… and so much for humility.

This is a generation raised on make-believe.  So instead of grappling with reality, they made pretend they were living in France, circa 1940, during its occupation by the Wehrmacht – and that they are the brave boys and girls of the French Resistance.

Mikie Sherrill, who never ceases to remind us that she flew a helicopter for the Navy, seems to want to forget how she got this far… She knew that Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen, a Veteran of the Vietnam War, was getting up there in age and that his health was in decline.  She also knew that he was one of the most bi-partisan members of Congress… known for his mild, gentlemanly demeanor, respected by both parties, willing to work with all sides to find solutions.

But Mikie Sherrill didn’t care.  She set her Antifa hoodlums on this elderly Vietnam Veteran.

They screamed and shouted down old Congressman Frelinghuysen – spat insults at him, called him vicious names, trashed his name and all the good works that he stood for.  Just as Rodney Frelinghuysen was about to secure mass transit service for Sussex County… Mikie Sherrill’s loudmouths tortured the old fellow, drove up his blood pressure, rattled his nerves, to the point that he quietly exited the stage.

Good job, jackasses.

You lost New Jersey one of its most powerful advocates in Congress – no, not with press releases, but in his quiet way, he knew how to get things done in Congress. He secured the post of Chairman of the Appropriations Committee in 2017.  In this powerful position, Rodney Frelinghuysen would have been able to accomplish so much for our state.  Now that’s all gone.  You killed the guy who was in the best position to serve our state and don’t think for one moment that some wet-behind-the-ears freshman is going to make a patch on Rodney’s arse.

What got us to thinking about this was candidate Mikie Sherrill’s recent cable advertisement in which she poses in front of a helicopter that wasn’t in Vietnam and talks about how she wants to be a “bi-partisan” force for good.  That’s bullshit.  You just killed off the most effective “bi-partisan” force for good in the state.

Meanwhile, her fellow “resistance” movement people target a mixed-race couple having breakfast at a café in Philadelphia because they happen to hold free-market ideas on economics and somebody recognized them.  Enlightened members of the “resistance” smashed up a United States Marine Corps recruiting office and attacked police for the same reasons they went after Vietnam Vet Rodney Frelinghuysen… and the same reason they scream “abolish ICE” and protest enforcing the law.   They’re on planet make-believe… and Mikie Sherrill is there with them.  In full embrace.  She owns it.

Voters shocked to learn Menendez’ campaign run by lobbyist for foreign nation

Following up on an investigation Jersey Conservative started last year, the Philadelphia Inquirer broke the story that United States Senator Bob Menendez’ campaign manager is a registered foreign agent for the Islamic nation of Qatar… a country that the United Nations and Amnesty International have accused of being complicit in its support and use of modern day slavery – human trafficking.  Here’s the headline:

N.J.’s Bob Menendez is top foreign relations Democrat in Senate. His campaign chief is a lobbyist for Qatar.

You can read the entire Philadelphia Inquirer story here:

http://www2.philly.com/philly/news/politics/senator-bob-menendez-campaign-michael-soliman-lobbying-qatar-20180810.html

..............................................................................................................................................................................................

This is how Jersey Conservative's story began…

Top NJ politico works for Qatar slavery

If you want to know why the New Jersey Legislature is silent on human rights abuses and slavery in Qatar, look no further than the next Democrat State Committee cocktail party.  There you will find one of Qatar's top men in America handing out checks to corpulent state and local politicians on the make.

Don't believe us?  Well here is a snapshot of his Foreign Agent Registration Act (FARA) filing.  Note that he is paid to do "political" work for a foreign government within the borders of the United States…

..............................................................................................................................................................................................

It is amazing how much corruption occurs in the open, right under voters’ noses, and yet they never hear of it, because the media have relationships and play favorites.  But every now and then, a journalist like the Philadelphia Inquirer’s Andrew Seidman will come along and write about what’s done in plain sight, and in doing so, lift the curtain and reveal that the reality of our politics is nothing like we imagine it – that the red and blue “teams” we’ve been trained to fight over have the same owners and that the people who run them are really playing for the same side.

The philosopher Guy Debord was right… this is the Society of the Spectacle.  And we, convinced of it, are prepared to kill our neighbors because we believe they are truly “red” or truly “blue.”

Andy Kim’s “resist” friends target mixed-race couple having breakfast

Candace Owens is a very pretty, petite, young lady and Charlie Kirk is a tall, handsome young man.  Candace is black and Charlie White.  Both are professional journalists who write opinion columns for a living.  Culturally, they hold the kind of traditionalists views that most Democrats held a decade ago.  Economically, they are free-market conservatives.

Owens.png

Candace and Charlie were having breakfast in a Center City Philadelphia restaurant when a group of white young people in their teens and twenties noticed them.  The white guys claimed to be part of the “resistance” movement or the so-called ANTIFA organization which claims the right to use violence to muzzle their opponents, to fight what they deem is fascism by using fascist tactics.  It is the prison mentality of a rape for a rape.

https://twitter.com/twitter/statuses/1026458985967153153

Democrat congressional candidate Andy Kim was the founder of one of the organizations that make up the “resistance” movement.  That’s right, while most level-minded Americans accept the outcome of a democratic election in America, Andy Kim’s first reaction was to make pretend that it was 1940 France instead of 2016 America.  He thought it would be cool to pretend that America was Nazi-occupied territory and that he and his pals were the French Resistance.

It was fun a first – like the anti-war rallies of the 1960’s, there is a certain sexuality to all that marching and shouting – but now things have got out of hand.  The “resistance” smashed up a United States Marine Corps recruiting office and attacked police because… heck, who needs a reason these days?  Because it is there?

Andy Kim could have been affair-minded grown-up, shown a little humility, accepted the outcome of an election, and given the new President a chance.  Instead, he decided to form an organization to undermine the elected government of the United States of America.  Now he’s trying to tell us how bi-partisan he is and that he wants to work with both Republicans and Democrats.  Well, that’s just bullshit and we all know it.

This was Andy Kim’s reaction to a Republican winning…

The Story of RISE Stronger

In the days following the 2016 presidential election, Andy Kim, a former White House Director for Iraq at the National Security Council, gathered several hundred people to a meeting in Washington, D.C. to lay out a vision for a new wave of citizen engagement in this uncertain and tumultuous political landscape in America. That meeting launched RISE Stronger, which has since grown to become a citizen watchdog organization of nearly 30,000 members across the country who are ready to ensure elected officials and government are both responsible and accountable to the people.

…Keeping grassroots activism at the heart of its work, RISE Stronger draws from a vast network of former White House and government officials and other policy experts to inform and augment the work of its members throughout the country. A network of local and state chapters, and an active online hub will serve as an incubator to new ideas and initiatives that propel forward the work of members and increase the engagement of Americans.

“A vast network of… (bureaucrats and Obama White House appointees).”  Is this just another name for a shadow government of the far-Left?

Here is a statement put out by Andy Kim before he was a candidate for Congress:

STATEMENT

The Resistance is Now

Feb 2, 2017 2:29 PM

Feb. 2, 2017

To Members of RISE Stronger,

This has been one of the most volatile two weeks in American politics. We are living in a moment of history, and our ability to stand up together will help shape our nation's trajectory. We have already seen some heroes rise to the challenge - the ACLU/Yale/IRAP team of attorneys who filed the first lawsuit against Trump's Muslim Ban executive order, and the upstanding Judge who placed a stay on the order; Former Acting Attorney General Sally Yates, who stood firmly against enforcing the muslim travel ban, and showed us the importance of checks and balances; and on Wednesday, two Republican Senators confirmed that they would not be voting in favor of Betsy DeVos for Secretary of Education, bringing us closer to halting her confirmation.

While the wins seem few and far between, they are critical to keep in mind. Our efforts are working - the calls, the social media, the actions taken by all of you and millions more are being heard. It is an exhausting, uphill battle right now, but we must keep our vision on the present, as well as the future.

Just two weeks ago, RISE Stronger joined the Women's March in what was one of the most inspiring, exciting days of my life. We followed that with a two day, RISE Above conference, co-hosted with Lawyers for Good Government. We had over 800 hundred participants, over 50 high level speakers, and an incredible amount of energy -- amazing results for an organization that didn't exist 12 weeks ago. We now have over 50,000 individuals engaged on our various networks, local chapters in nearly every states, and working groups forming and strategizing on the best ways we can fight back.

Where do we go from here? We continue to build out RISE Stronger as an organization. We are in the process of filing paperwork for RISE to incorporate as a 501c3 and 501c4. Our policy working groups are honing in on confirmation hearings at the cabinet and sub-cabinet level. We are gearing up for the Affordable Care Act fight, a fight I believe we can truly impact.

RISE Stronger is a community, where horizontal, two-way communication is at the heart of the organization. We hope you will join us as we build a strategic and effective form of resistance, that incorporates each and every one of you.

Please join us on Facebook, Twitter, and online at www.risestronger.org. Please direct questions to questions@risestronger.org.

Warmly,

Andy Kim
Founder, RISE Stronger

Mikey Puzio joins Mikie Sherrill and the Democrats in a time of Antifa

What an asswipe!

No, we take that back… a festered asswipe!

Mikey Puzio, who somehow got over on the voters of Rockaway Township and passed himself off as a member of the GOP, was an elected member of the Rockaway Council.  He agreed to sell out to the Democrat Party of Governor Phil Murphy and Bob “I didn’t traffick those girls” Menendez.

The reason he gave is rich.

Puzio said:  “Our community needs a leader with a proven record of working with people from both parties.”  Yeah, well you had one, his name was Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen.

Yep, you had one until Mikie Sherrill set her “Resistance” pals on Rodney.

Mikie Sherrill knew that Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen was getting up there in age and that his health was in decline.  She also knew that he was one of the most bi-partisan members of Congress… known for his mild, gentlemanly demeanor, respected by both parties, willing to work with all sides to find solutions.

This was the man Mikie Sherrill set her Antifa hoodlums on.

Mikie Sherrill lost New Jersey one of its most powerful advocates in Congress – no, not with press releases, but in his quiet way, he knew how to get things done in Congress.

Standing with his new far-Left friends, Puzio signed a press release that read more like a hostage letter:  “The partisanship that plagues Congress hurts Rockaway, and prevents New Jersey from moving forward.  I’m endorsing Mikie Sherrill because I know the letter that comes after my name is less important to Mikie than the fact that I am a resident of this community.”

Sure.  The “Resistance” is just sooooo bi-partisan.  How did anybody miss that?  Yep, we are all just supposed to forget where Mikie Sherrill came from.  The radical crowd she hung out with.

That’s what Mikey Puzio wants us to do.  He wants us to forget who Mikie Sherrill really is and the radical soil she has sprung from.  He wants us to forget what Sherrill’s radical followers did to a genuinely bi-partisan leader – Rodney Frelinghuysen – and how they trashed his good name and good works.

No way, handjob… we will not forget.

Shame on Mikie Sherrill for trashing a Vietnam Vet

Is Mikie Sherrill full of shit or what?

She knew that Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen was getting up there in age and that his health was in decline.  She also knew that he was one of the most bi-partisan members of Congress… known for his mild, gentlemanly demeanor, respected by both parties, willing to work with all sides to find solutions.

This was the man Mikie Sherrill set her Antifa hoodlums on.

Sherill.png

They screamed and shouted down old Congressman Frelinghuysen – spat insults at him, called him vicious names, trashed his name and all the good works that he stood for.  Just as Rodney Frelinghuysen was about to secure mass transit service for Sussex County… Mikie Sherrill’s loudmouths tortured the old fellow, drove up his blood pressure, rattled his nerves, to the point that he quietly exited the stage.

Good job, dirtbags.

What got us to thinking about this was candidate Mikie Sherrill’s bullshit cable advertisement in which she poses in front of a helicopter that wasn’t in Vietnam and talks about how she wants to be a “bi-partisan” force for good. That’s bullshit.  You just killed off the most effective “bi-partisan” force for good in the state.

These are just words to Mikie Sherrill.  She thinks she’ll get credit for saying them, even though her actions have rendered them meaningless.  She reminds us of the  clueless schoolgirl in that send-up from the 80’s.

In her campaign advertisement, Mikie Sherrill spouts off some more bromides like this… “For decades the people of New Jersey have been footing the bill and paying the price of Congress’ inability to work in a bipartisan manner with input from both parties… That’s why I’m running for Congress.  We need new leadership in Congress and leaders who will put partisan politics aside to get the job done for families and the communities they serve – especially here in New Jersey.”

Wow, Mikie Sherrill has certainly strung a lot of meaningless platitudes together for that one.

How can anyone who plays at being a member of the French Resistance while pretending that 2018 America is 1942 France under Nazi occupation even bring up the word “bi-partisan” and keep a straight face?  Mikie Sherrill and her ilk are living in a historical action video game come to life… and they are acting it out.

Some are worse than others. A mixed-race couple having breakfast at a café were set upon in Philadelphia because they happen to hold free-market ideas on economics and somebody recognized them.  Racial epithets were shouted at them by enlightened members of the “Resistance”.

The Antifa “resistance” smashed up a United States Marine Corps recruiting office and attacked police because… heck, who needs a reason these days?  Because it is there?

Same reason they went after Vietnam Vet Rodney Frelinghuysen… because he was there, in the way, somebody wanted the cool title or somebody wanted to do the job it took him twenty years to be in a position to do… but that’s all over now.  Freshmen congresspersons don’t get to chair the Appropriations Committee.  That’s all over now, for New Jersey, our loss… because Mikie wanted a cool title.

Fellow Democrat exposes Menendez for voter suppression

Our friends at Real Jersey City recently put up a post on their website reminding voters that 15 years ago, on July 29, 2003, the late Jersey City Mayor Glenn Cunningham gave a speech about Senator Bob Menendez.  In his speech, the Mayor stood up to Menendez and his political machine – the Hudson County Democratic Organization – for its use of voter suppression tactics.

“This renegade Democratic organization is using the same tactics that were used by infamous organizations, that attempted to prevent people from making their votes count, in the days prior to the 1964 Civil Rights Act and the 1965 Voting Rights Act,” Cunningham, Jersey City’s first black mayor, said about Menendez’ Hudson Democrat machine.

“Something is wrong with our Democratic Leadership here when one of the most powerful Democratic elected officials in the nation, Congressman Bob Menendez, uses his influence to prevent the express voting will of the people of Jersey City – to be thrown away like garbage on the street.”

Cunningham, who also served the 31st Legislative District in the New Jersey Senate, claimed Hudson Democrats sent a list of “illegal voters” to the courts so people favorable to the historic mayor would be removed from the voting rolls.

“Their actions are so frivolous and sickening, actually it’s even funny and comical” Cunningham stated as he read off a list of people on the illegal voter list.

Another case of child trafficking stopped by police

NJ101.5 News Radio reported yesterday that Middlesex Borough police had uncovered a case of child trafficking that could have ended in something even worse.  Fortunately, police arrested the suspected trafficker and reported there were as many as twenty victims:

A man who threatened to share pictures he received from a local girl if she didn't send him more is now behind bars thanks to a multi-state investigation.

Police in New Jersey and Illinois worked together on the investigation that led to the arrest of Joshua P. Breckel, 19, of Mascoutah Illinois. Breckel was identified after Middlesex police were notified back in April that the girl had been "coerced to send a suggestive photo of herself to an online acquaintance," Chief Matthew P. Geist said. The man then asked the girl for more pictures and videos, and also offered to pay her if she got her friends to send him images as well, Geist said.

After refusing to send anything else the man, later identified as Breckel, threatened to share the photo she had sent him with her family and friends "through various online means." Working with the police in Mascoutah as well as the FBI it was determined that Breckel had extorted several girls, "including one that appeared to be 9 or 10 years old." Geist said.

When police came to his home Breckel admitted to attempting to exploit the girl and also told police that he had child pornographic images on his computer. He pleaded not guilty in U.S. District Court in East St. Louis.

Human Trafficking is the fastest growing criminal industry in the world, second to drug dealing and tied with arms dealing.  The FBI recently uncovered and arrested 42 child sex traffickers in New Jersey.  The Star-Ledger reported that the 42 were arrested on charges that included sex trafficking, child exploitation and prostitution.  A total of 84 children were rescued during the operation.  Human Trafficking is modern day slavery and it is happening TODAY -- in the HERE and NOW!

Modern technology is rapidly expanding the means by which human beings are ensnared and trapped into modern slavery and then trafficked as though they were meat.  The modern "slave ship" is embodied by certain websites and social media -- its "ocean" is the Internet.  The media recently reported about the rescue by the FBI of a "3-month-old girl and her 5-year-old sister" who were being trafficked by a child predator "who was offering to sell the children for sex" using the Internet.  Isn't it time to adopt the technology to blast these scumbags from the Internet?

Child trafficking is a $32 billion-a-year industry and is on the rise in all 50 states, according to the U.S. government.  4.5 Million of trafficked persons have been sexually exploited and nearly 300,000 Americans under 18 have been lured into the commercial sex trade.  The National Human Trafficking Hotline reported that in 2016, human trafficking in the United States increased by 35.7% -- in one year!  But we have the technology to stop it.  So why aren't we adopting it?

We have the legislation.  It's called the Human Trafficking and Child Exploitation Prevention Act (S-540/ A-878).  And it offers a constitutional way to prevent predators from using the Internet to sexually exploit children.  It is supported by Thorn, an anti-human trafficking group that uses technology to defeat child sex traffickers.

Some members of New Jersey’s political establishment have undermined this legislation by making excuses for the actions of Senator Bob Menendez and his friend, a wealthy man who was convicted of ripping-off taxpayers and who brought women into the United States.  Some have been reluctant to support the Human Trafficking and Child Exploitation Prevention Act on the state and federal level.  We certainly hope that this attitude changes soon and that New Jersey adopts the Act.  For more information about what you can do, visit…

Is the party of the old slavery now the party of the new?

How has your summer been?

For most members of the New Jersey political establishment we bet it’s been pretty good – surrounded by family, nice food and drink, the sounds of laughter and friendship.  But for the victims of human trafficking -- our modern slavery epidemic – it’s been just another season in hell, made more poignant by the fact that, for almost all of those trafficked, there are memories of when they enjoyed the summer holidays as much as anyone else.

But some in New Jersey’s political establishment don't want to admit that it is happening, because too many are in hock to contributions from special interests who benefit from the massive profits generated by everything from goods made with indentured labor to Internet porn.  Instead of addressing this modern crime against humanity, many console themselves by virtue signaling about the slavery ended by the Civil War -- in 1865.  This allows them to (1) ignore modern slavery, (2) keep taking the money, and (3) feel good about themselves.

Imagine if the British government had taken this line in 1807 and -- instead of abolishing the slave trade -- they had merely congratulated themselves on the end of their enslavement by the Romans, centuries before?  No, they were focused on the affliction of slavery in what was their modern times – and they dealt with it, sending out the Royal Navy to sink every slave ship and blast every slave trader from the seven seas.

So why are some members of New Jersey’s political establishment undermining this legislation by making excuses for the actions of Senator Bob Menendez and his friend, a wealthy man who was convicted of ripping-off taxpayers?  And why are others reluctant to support the Human Trafficking and Child Exploitation Prevention Act on the state and federal level?

Last week, the New Jersey Democrat State Committee rounded up 88 women operatives to aid Senator Bob Menendez’ comeback bid.  The 88 Democrats brushed aside federal allegations made by prosecutors that there was evidence to suggest that the Senator and his “friend” had been involved in trafficking, including “uncharged allegations of underage prostitution that kicked off the federal probe.”  This is serious stuff and something each of those 88 Democrats should have answers for.

Prosecutors twice say there was “corroborating evidence” to support the initial sex crime allegations, for which Senator Menendez and his convicted friend, Dr. Solomon Melgen, face no charges. In the first instance, they write:

"The defendants present their case as exceptional because the allegations of underage prostitution are 'such easily disprovable allegations about something that would hardly be a federal crime even had it been true.' Id. As an initial matter, it is most certainly a federal crime to leave the country for the purpose of engaging in a commercial sex act with a minor, and the defendants’ suggestion to the contrary is unsettling. See 18 U.S.C. §§ 1952, 1591(a)(1), & 2421. Furthermore, the defendants’ dismissive treatment of these allegations is troubling. Allegations of human trafficking and underage prostitution must be taken seriously and cannot be dismissed merely because the alleged perpetrator is a United States Senator. Given the nature and seriousness of the allegations, in addition to the corroborating evidence, it would have been irresponsible not to investigate."

Then, recounting the initial stages of the investigation and apparently corroborating evidence, prosecutors write:

"As would be done in the normal course, the Government took responsible steps to investigate these serious criminal allegations, which were not so 'easily disprovable,' as the defendants suggest. Some eyewitnesses described a party attended by defendant Melgen in Casa de Campo—where defendant Melgen has a home and where defendant Menendez often visited—involving prostitutes. See Ex. 2 at 2; Ex. 3 at 1-2.. Furthermore, defendant Melgen has flown numerous young women from the United States and from other countries on his private jet to the Dominican Republic. Many of these young women receive substantial financial support from defendant Melgen. For example, defendant Melgen flew two young women—whom he met while they were performing at a South Florida 'Gentlemen’s' Club, see Ex. 4 at 1-2—on his private jet to his villa in Casa de Campo the day after paying one young woman $1,000 and the other young woman $2,000. See Ex. 5. Indeed, one of defendant Melgen’s pilots described 'young girls' who 'look[ed] like escorts' traveling at various times on defendant Melgen’s private jet. Ex. 6 at 9:7-16. Some young women who received substantial sums of money from defendant Melgen were in the same place as defendant Menendez at the same time. Moreover, when the allegations were first reported, defendant Menendez defended himself with public statements that are easily disprovable. Specifically, he repeated several times that he had only flown on defendant Melgen’s private jet on three occasions. That representation is demonstrably false. Confronted with corroborating evidence of such serious crimes, it would have been an inexcusable abdication of responsibility not to investigate these allegations."

While Menendez denies these allegations, did the 88 Democrat women operatives ever stop to ask him about them?

So who are they?  Well here is the list of the 88…

88 women “leaders” silent about Menendez and the girls who were trafficked

Last week, the New Jersey Democrat State Committee rounded up 88 women operatives and put them in harness to aid Bob Menendez’ comeback bid.  Yep, after his brush with political mortality last year, the Democrat is banking on faux outrage by the barking Machiavellians of a feminist fringe to obscure his brutal treatment of women.

Federal documents in 2015 revisited “uncharged allegations of underage prostitution that kicked off the federal probe.”

According to U.S. News & World Report (August 24, 2015) prosecutors did not “explicitly say the underage prostitution investigation came up empty.”  On the contrary, the probe is described as having turned up “corroborating evidence.”  The federal prosecutors’ filing states:

“While those allegations have not resulted in any criminal charges, there can be no question that the Government has an obligation to take such allegations regarding potential harm to minors very seriously, regardless of who the alleged perpetrators may be.”

“Presented with specific, corroborated allegations that defendants Menendez and Melgen had sex with underage prostitutes in the Dominican Republic, the Government responsibly and dutifully investigated those serious allegations… The indictment here, of course, charges only corruption and does not include any allegations of soliciting underage prostitution.”

Did they satisfy their own consciences (if indeed, they possess anything like a conscience) that no woman or girls were sexually abused or enslaved during the period covered by the filings?

Did anyone of them have anything to say when the New York Post filed this story…

Reason magazine demolishes “Russian troll hysteria”

The conventional story is that Russian trolls infiltrated the 2016 election with fake social media ads. But according to details from a February 2018 indictment of those trolls, it's unclear how much of an effect they actually had.

Federal prosecutors have filed charges against 13 Russians who allegedly sought to "sow discord in the U.S. political system" through social media posts, ads, and videos falsely presented as the work of Americans. After the indictment was unveiled in February, The New York Times reported that Donald Trump's "admirers and detractors" both agree with him that "the Russians intended to sow chaos" and "have succeeded beyond their wildest dreams." But Reason Senior Editor Jacob Sullum says a close look at the indictment tells a different story.

Here are "5 Reasons Not to Feed the Russian Troll Hysteria:"

1) Russian trolling was a drop in the bucket. According to the indictment, Russian trolls associated with the so-called Internet Research Agency (IRA) in Saint Petersburg spent "thousands of U.S. dollars every month" on social media ads, which is a minuscule fraction of online ad revenue. Facebook alone reported advertising revenue of $9.16 billion in the second quarter of 2017. The Russians are said to be responsible for producing 43 hours of YouTube videos, but that doesn't seem like very much when you consider that 400 hours of content are uploaded to the site every minute.

2) Russian trolls were not very sophisticated. Russian trolls supposedly had the Machiavellian know-how to infiltrate the American political system, but their social media posts don't look very sophisticated. The posts often featured broken English and puzzling topic choices. A post promoting a "buff" Bernie Sanders coloring book, for instance, noted that "the coloring is something that suits for all people." Another post showed Jesus and Satan in an arm wrestling match under this caption: "SATAN: IF I WIN CLINTON WINS! JESUS: NOT IF I CAN HELP IT!" The post generated very few clicks and shares.

3) Russian troll rallies apparently did not attract many participants. The indictment makes much of pro-Trump and anti-Clinton rallies instigated by Russian trolls, but it does not say how many people participated. The New York Times reported that a Russian-organized rally in Texas opposing Shariah law attracted a dozen people. An anti-immigrant, anti-Muslim rally in Idaho drew four people. Attendance at other rallies was similarly sparse.

4) Russian trolling probably didn't change anyone's mind. Broken English aside, the social media posts were not qualitatively different from content created by American activists, and they seemed to be aimed mainly at reinforcing pre-existing beliefs and divisions. The Russians might have gotten a few Trump supporters to show up at anti-Clinton rallies, but that does not mean they had an impact on the election.

5) Russian troll hysteria depicts free speech as a kind of violence. The Justice Department describes the messages posted by Russians pretending to be Americans as "information warfare." But while the posts may have been sophomoric, inaccurate, and illogical, that does not distinguish them from most of what passes for online political discussion among actual Americans. The integrity of civic discourse does not depend on verifying the citizenship of people who participate in it. It depends on the ability to weigh what they say, checking it against our own values and information from other sources. If voters cannot do that, maybe democracy is doomed. But if so, it's not the Russians' fault.
