Gottheimer attacked leader of “Jihad Squad”.

They have been satirically called the “Jihad Squad”…

You remember satire, don’t you?  Yes, it had something to do with comedy… but all that was banned after the rise of the Neo-Cromwellians…

Satire (noun) the use of humor, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule to expose and criticize people's stupidity or vices, particularly in the context of contemporary politics and other topical issues.

Apparently, satire – like everything else these days – is now a form of “racism”.

This so-called “Jihad Squad” is composed of the following members of Congress: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley and Rashida Tlaib.  A couple of them are rather anti-Semitic and none of them much like the Jewish state.  One member of Congress – Ilhan Abdullahi Omar (D-Minnesota) – actually mocks Jewish people by calling them “Benjamins”.  Another, Rashida Harbi Tlaib (D-Michigan), holds rallies under the banners of the PLO – a terrorist group.

Maybe that is why Congressman Josh Gottheimer (D-New Jersey) called out the group’s leader, Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, after she threatened him and other Democrats with placement on a kind of political extermination list.  Gottheimer asked: “Since when is it okay to put you on a Nixonian list?  We need to have a big tent in our party, or we won’t keep the House or win the White House.”  The New Jersey Globe did a nice job covering Gottheimer’s response to the “Jihad Squad” leader’s attacks.  You can read the full story here…

https://newjerseyglobe.com/congress/gottheimer-takes-on-ocasio-cortez/

Rashida Harbi Tlaib doesn’t much care for Josh Gottheimer either (hey, at least she doesn’t call him a “Benjamin”).  The Democrat from Michigan called the Democrat from New Jersey a “bully”.  Gottheimer had simply raised the issue of anti-Semitism amongst members of what has been jokingly referred to as the “Jihad Squad”.  According to media reports, Gottheimer noted… “anti-Semitic comments on dual loyalty and other anti-Semitic tropes that the Congressman and many other members of Congress found deeply disturbing."  The Intercept, run by that hero of transparency Glenn Greenwald, reported on this in May.

All the members of the so-called “Jihad Squad” are supporters of Linda Sarsour, a co-founder of the famous (or, depending on one’s perspective, infamous) Women’s March.  Sarsour has, in fact, used the term “Jihad” in her speeches and, to our knowledge, not one of the “Jihad Squad” has attempted to distance themselves either from her or her use of the word.

In July 2017, Linda Sarsour called for a "Jihad" against the American government.

Here's what she said:

"During a speech to the Islamic Society of North America convention in Chicago last weekend, Sarsour, a delegate to the 2016 Democratic National Convention who is an anti-Israel and pro-Sharia activist, made the startling call and also urged against 'assimilation.'

'I hope that we when we stand up to those who oppress our communities that Allah accepts from us that as a form of jihad,' she said. 'That we are struggling against tyrants and rulers not only abroad in the Middle East or in the other side of the world, but here in these United States of America, where you have fascists and white supremacists and Islamophobes reigning in the White House.'

'Our number one and top priority is to protect and defend our community, it is not to assimilate and please any other people and authority,' she said.

'Our obligation is to our young people, is to our women, to make sure our women are protected in our community. Our top priority and even higher than all those other priorities is to please Allah and only Allah,' she said."

Sarsour started off her call for "Jihad" by praising the work of Siraj Wahaj, who she described as her "favorite person in the room."  Wahaj is a controversial New York imam who has attracted the attention of American law enforcement for years.  Federal prosecutors included him on a 3½-page list of people they said "may be alleged as co-conspirators" in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, though he was never charged, the Associated Press reported.

That same month, July 2017, Linda Sarsour’s organization "honored" cop-killer Joanne Chesimard (aka Assata Shakur).

Then there is the extensive media coverage of Sarsour’s supportive statements towards the virulently anti-Semitic Louis Farrakhan.  And her statements about wanting to remove another Muslim woman’s vagina…

In an August 1, 2017 New York Times column – When Progressives Embrace Hate – Editor Bari Weiss wrote:

"The leaders of the Women’s March, arguably the most prominent feminists in the country, have some chilling ideas and associations. Far from erecting the big tent so many had hoped for, the movement they lead has embraced decidedly illiberal causes and cultivated a radical tenor that seems determined to alienate all but the most woke.

Start with Ms. Sarsour, by far the most visible of the quartet of organizers. It turns out that this 'homegirl in a hijab,' as one of many articles about her put it, has a history of disturbing views, as advertised by . . . Linda Sarsour.

There are comments on her Twitter feed of the anti-Zionist sort: 'Nothing is creepier than Zionism,' she wrote in 2012. And, oddly, given her status as a major feminist organizer, there are more than a few that seem to make common cause with anti-feminists, like this from 2015: 'You’ll know when you’re living under Shariah law if suddenly all your loans and credit cards become interest-free. Sound nice, doesn’t it?'  She has dismissed the anti-Islamist feminist Ayaan Hirsi Ali in the most crude and cruel terms, insisting she is 'not a real woman' and confessing that she wishes she could take away Ms. Ali’s vagina — this about a woman who suffered genital mutilation as a girl in Somalia."

Hey, maybe the reason why some Democrats don’t get satire is that, in this case, they don’t think it is satire.  Maybe they think it is reality and they just want to suppress it?

Could be.

Democrat Malinowski says White Americans are world’s greatest terrorist threat

America is experiencing another strange wave of paranoia – top down again, as in the 1950’s.  Only this time, it is the far Left who want us to believe that there is a “red” under every bed.  Of course – and as they are the last vestige of the failed ideology of Soviet Marxist Leninism – it is not “reds” that they want us to be afraid of, it is “whites”.

In an opinion piece published on Saturday, freshman Congressman Tom Malinowski (D-7), argued that “America’s greatest terrorist threat comes from within.”  He attempts to make the point that what he calls “white supremacists” are a growing phenomenon on the terror scene.  To back this up, Malinowski notes several recent incidents – including the attack on a mosque in New Zealand – but for some reason fails to mention the Easter Sunday attacks in Sri Lanka that killed more than 300 human beings.

Congressman Malinowski needs to be asked directly:  Why the deliberate oversight?  Do the lives of Asian Christians not count?

But Malinowski’s column is flawed in so many more ways that just that.  First, can Tom Malinowski actually argue that the threat of white supremacism is greater today than in, say 1972, when openly racist Governor George Corley Wallace won Democratic Party primaries in Maryland, Michigan, Florida, North Carolina, and Tennessee?  Wallace came in second in Wisconsin, New Mexico, Indiana, West Virginia, Oregon, and Pennsylvania.  In a field of 14 candidates, the Democrat Governor who stood in the school house door to personally block Black students from entering got 3.7 million votes in Democrat primaries – nearly a quarter of all cast – before an assassination attempt paralyzed him and ended his presidential campaign.

Does Congressman Tom Malinowski really believe that there are more “white supremacists” around today than then?  If so, then he seriously needs to take a few years off to study the history of his own party.

Everyone knows that terrorism is a global phenomenon.  It is not confined to one country and it does not respect national borders.  Everyone knows this – from counter-terrorism experts to average citizens.  Everyone but those “new” Democrats – like New York’s Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Minnesota’s Ilhan Abdullahi Omar, and New Jersey’s Tom Malinowski.  They push a narrative that claims that it is “America” or “Americans” (read: “White Americans”) who constitute the real terror threat.

But of course, the world disagrees with them.  In Saturday’s op-ed, Congressman Malinowski wrote that there were 18 “white supremacist” “hate” groups that were terror threats (and that was just in New Jersey).  Having worked at the State Department, Tom Malinowski knows this is nonsense.  He knows that those groups are not designated as terrorist threats – no matter what their stupid ideology is.

Wikipedia provides a very good list of the world’s terrorist groups – as designated by individual nations as well as international organizations like the United Nations, NATO, and the European Union.  There are dozens and dozens of terrorist organizations across the globe.  Can anyone find those 18 “hate” groups that Congressman Malinowski and his “new” Democrats would like us to focus our attention on?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_designated_terrorist_groups

Anyone – from an expert on counter-terrorism, to a citizen, or even a “new Democrat” member of Congress – after reading this list of designated terrorist groups would have a pretty good idea of where the threat of terrorism is coming from.  And it isn’t some Alt-Right group that put this list together.  This is from the United Nations, the European Union, and the Obama State Department.  Tom Malinowski should check out just who the Muslim nations of the world think are terrorists.  No, it’s not his 18 “hate” groups, it’s groups like the Muslim Brotherhood.

In his op-ed, Congressman Malinowski brought up the recent attack on a mosque in New Zealand.  Okay, well which groups does the government of New Zealand designate as terrorist groups?  Well, here’s the full list:  Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades, al-Qaeda, Al-Shabaab, Ansar Bait al-Maqdis, Ansaru (The Vanguards for the Protection of Muslims in Black Africa), Boku Haram, Communist Party of the Philippines/ New Peoples’ Army, Continuity Irish Republican Army, ETA, Hamas, Harakat Sham al-Islam, Hezbollah (military wing), Indian Mujahideen, Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, Jundallah (Peoples’ Resistance Movement of Iran), Kurdistan Workers’ Party, National Liberation Army, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Real Irish Republican Army, Revolutionary Armed Forces of Columbia, and the Taliban.

Does anyone see those 18 “hate” groups Tom Malinowski is babbling about?  No, you don’t, because mature statesmen understand the true nature of terrorism and understand that to effectively combat it, you have to know what it is.  And it isn’t some mental deficient looking for social media attention.  Every multiple shooting isn’t the work of a terror organization.  Every serial killer isn’t a terrorist.

There’s also the idea of what constitutes “hate” and “hate crime” to consider.  According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Uniform Crime Reports, in 2001, just 10 people died as a result of “hate crimes”.  This sounds a bit short to us… like 2,977 short.  That’s right.  The FBI doesn’t count terrorist attacks like those of September 11, 2001, as “hate crimes.”  Terrorism isn’t counted as “hate”, so why is Tom Malinowski conflating the two?

If Congressman Malinowski wanted to correct an injustice – and honor the 715 New Jersey residents murdered on September 11, 2001 – he would work to get the FBI to count them as victims of a hate crime.  Instead, Malinowski plays politics by whitewashing the real terrorists in an attempt to smear his political enemies and focus American against American.

Malinowski’s attempts to silence union workers who complain about job losses due to outsourcing and offshoring are particularly disingenuous.  Calling such workers “anti-Semitic” and likening them to terrorists is way, way over the top.

Especially as Malinowski’s allies in groups like ANTIFA are, in fact, anti-Semitic and anti-globalist.  Just ask the Government of the State of Israel and its Prime Minister which American political party is the truer friend of the Jewish State?

Of course, Tom Malinowski knows all this, but he deliberately lied in his op-ed anyway.  Malinowski is a divider who seeks to pit American against American, while he and his party willfully ignore the next September 11th attack.

Message from the Kids Rally: Tomorrow belongs to me

"We are the voices of the new generation... We want change, and those who try to stop us cannot stand in our way. We will outnumber you, we will outvote you, and we will outlive you." (High School student, March 24, 2018, Newton, NJ)

This has all happened before.  The same words were used by another generation of students who demanded security over freedom.  They ended up with neither.

What began as a modernist dream ended in retching sadness.

"I have a message for all of those politicians... Your thoughts and prayers are not going to stop this from happening over and over again, like it has for the past 20 years." (Ibid)

Yes.  We are going to need to address our rotting culture.  A culture, by the way, that many of those young marchers have totally bought into.

Twenty years ago... In the aftermath of the Columbine shootings, President Bill Clinton first highlighted the problem of violence in our culture and how it was being marketed for profit.  Psychologists had long noted how violent media content acts like a drug on childhood development, chemically altering a child's brain.

It was President Clinton who pointed out that study after study, and the marketing documents of the entertainment industry itself, all pointed to the entertainment industry's premeditated marketing of violence to children and their undeveloped brains.  All the evidence was there.  Then he went further and ordered a study by the Federal Trade Commission.  The study, released on September 11, 2000, can be accessed below:

https://www.ftc.gov/news-events/press-releases/2000/09/ftc-releases-report-marketing-violent-entertainment-children

In response, the entertainment industry increased its campaign contributions by 1,000 percent and spent hundreds of millions on lobbying and soft money to convince Congress to forget every study it had ever read.  Then September 11, 2001, occurred and concerns over media violence were ignored in the run-up to war.  Some in the entertainment industry never forgot, and when another Clinton ran for President, they derailed her by supporting a first-term senator named Barack Obama.

Does our young high school student really believe that government will be able to eliminate the illegal possession of firearms any better than it has eliminated the illegal possession of narcotics?  Is there any high school in America free from illegal drug use?

President Richard Nixon declared war on drugs in 1971.  That's before most parents of today's high schoolers were born.  Are we any closer to winning that war -- or have we started to surrender, making up reasoning for decriminalization of those things long warned against?

Gun-free school zones have been disastrous failures.  Will trying to make all of America "gun-free" fare any better?  Instead of carrying the agenda of pre-existing movements, like the anti-NRA Brady bunch, shouldn't students be separating themselves from the failed paradigms of the past?

Of course, that would take thinking in place of emotion and a "be-in" is always cooler than a think-in.  Rallies, like dance parties, stir the emotions.  And the emotions of the young have always been a target for hijacking and abuse by political authoritarians.

If you want to protect children in schools make that the priority.  In other nations, including those on the front line in the battle with terrorism, school shootings are rare.  Despite schools being a prime target for terror attacks, in Israel there have been just six attacks on schools since 1974.

America doesn't have Hamas or the Fatah al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades or Palestinian Islamic Jihad operating on its borders -- so why does America do such a poor job protecting our schools when other nations, in active battle with terrorist groups, manage it so much better?  Is it simply the case that other nations face facts, while we prefer to bask in emotion and the idea that "it shouldn't happen here" in exceptionalist America?

We are going to be looking very hard at this and passing along ideas for solutions.  We invite commentary and participation from all.
