Posters? Dems allow weakest possible response to slavery

by Rubashov

Led by virtue-signaling poseurs like Senator Loretta Weinberg, Democrat legislative leaders have held up addressing the problem of modern slavery. In fact, they don’t even recognize it as a problem and consistently fail to call it by its name – slavery.

New Jersey Democrats openly diss the United Nations, and the work of people like UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina J. Mohammed, who recently reminded world leaders: “This is 2020. Centuries have passed since the end of the transatlantic slave trade. Yet more than 40.3 million people remain victims of modern slavery — 5 in every 1,000 people in the world… Modern slavery is a blight in our world that we must eradicate.”

Human trafficking is modern day slavery – and yet there are legislators in Trenton and their staffs who not only deny it but enable it by blocking legislation designed to stop human trafficking and the sexual exploitation of children. Lawyer-lobbyist firms are some of the biggest supporters of the primarily Democrat legislators who react to any common sense restrictions on sexual exploitation as wanting to “take away my porn”.

The Internet is used extensively by human traffickers to ensnare their victims and then to monetize their degradation and suffering. The New York Times recently outed Pornhub, for its role in monetizing crimes like child rape. Two Fridays ago, the New York Times reported:“Facebook removed 12.4 million images related to child exploitation in a three-month period this year. Twitter closed 264,000 accounts in six months last year for engaging in sexual exploitation of children.”

What is Pornhub? The New York Times points out details that would shock all but the most hardened Democrat legislators and their staffs:

“Its site is infested with rape videos. It monetizes child rapes, revenge pornography, spy cam videos of women showering, racist and misogynist content, and footage of women being asphyxiated in plastic bags. A search for ‘girls under18’ (no space) or ‘14yo’ leads in each case to more than 100,000 videos. Most aren’t of children being assaulted, but too many are.”

How does Pornhub monetize the rape of children? Again, from the New York Times:

“After a 15-year-old girl went missing in Florida, her mother found her on Pornhub — in 58 sex videos. Sexual assaults on a 14-year-old California girl were posted on Pornhub and were reported to the authorities not by the company but by a classmate who saw the videos. In each case, offenders were arrested for the assaults, but Pornhub escaped responsibility for sharing the videos and profiting from them.”

A 23-year-old university student says that “Pornhub became my trafficker.” She was trafficked when she was 9 years-old and is now studying to be an attorney. She told the New York Times: “I’m still getting sold… I may never be able to get away from this. I may be 40 with eight kids, and people are still masturbating to my photos.”

an inadequate response to the problem uncovered by the New York Times. In response to all this national publicity about modern slavery – human trafficking – and the sexual exploitation of vulnerable women and children, the Democrat-controlled Legislature did something… they passed a bill to require posters to be hung-up at locations like dressing rooms, restrooms, and restroom stalls at strip clubs, sexually oriented businesses, and massage parlors. This is not a bad thing and it does serve a purpose, but it is an inadequate response to the problem uncovered by the New York Times. A poster cannot stop what Pornhub is up to. The technology employed simply isn’t up to the job.

While blocking other legislation, the Democrats allowed this legislation (S-280) to get a hearing and a vote because now they can say they did something about “human trafficking” (they refuse to join the United Nations in calling it “modern slavery”). Now Democrats can go back to protecting the corporate establishment that is invested in platforms like Pornhub.

In a press statement, S-280's Republican sponsor, Senator Tom Kean Jr., noted: “Human trafficking occurs today across New Jersey in places where many of us would never suspect it, including our own communities. Victims are often lured with the prospect of a job, and then have their passports, money, and identification stolen by their handlers. They’re moved around and forced to work for the benefit of others. It’s imperative that victims and those who may have witnessed exploitation know that help is just a phone call away.

Senator Kean’s press statement specifically stated: “Human trafficking is a form of modern-day slavery that exploits victims for sex, labor, or both.”

His legislation, S-280, requires the New Jersey Commission on Human Trafficking to develop new signs and posters with directions for obtaining help and services to be displayed in places where the victims of human trafficking are most likely to see them. The new public awareness poster would include the toll-free phone number for the National Human Trafficking Hotline, a 24-hour service.

Posters will be placed in workplaces, bars, airports, train stations, welcome centers, truck stops, weigh stations, emergency rooms, urgent care centers, farm labor contractors, job recruitment centers, service areas, rest areas along interstate highways, public transportation, hotels, motels, campsites, and similar places of public accommodation. All of this is good and Senator Kean deserves great thanks for shaming the Democrats into passing this legislation, but the Democrats continue to oppose any measure to address the problems uncovered by the New York Times.

Legislation to shut down Internet-based sex trafficking and slavery does exist and has been waiting for a hearing and a vote. It is called the Human Trafficking and Child Exploitation Prevention Act. Senator Steve Oroho has championed this legislation for years. Democrats like Loretta Weinberg and Teresa Ruiz have blocked it from getting a hearing and a vote.

To make matters worse, the NJGOP has been AWOL in its support of the Human Trafficking and Child Exploitation Prevention Act. In advance of Tuesday’s vote for a new NJGOP Chairman, we suggested that Members of the State Committee ask the two candidates for Chairman – Bob Hugin and Mike Lavery – to take a position on the Human Trafficking and Child Exploitation Prevention Act. For Bob Hugin, it would have been a re-affirmation, because he supported the Human Trafficking and Child Exploitation Prevention Act at a bi-partisan event in 2018 to support its passage…

Unfortunately, we have not heard from Mike Lavery, the eventual winner and new NJGOP Chairman. Lavery held the Chairmanship in 2017, and we did not hear from him then on the Human Trafficking and Child Exploitation Prevention Act. This is something that Mike Lavery needs to correct. Every State Committee Member – and especially those who voted for him – needs to take personal responsibility to ensure that Chairman Lavery and the NJGOP take a clear stand against slavery, against human trafficking, against the sexual exploitation of vulnerable women and children.

Opposition to slavery is at the very core of who the Republican Party is. It is the very reason it was established. It is important that the New Jersey Republican Party take a stand and do the right thing. Activists can’t do it alone, the entire party should stand up for victims of slavery and sexual exploitation.

“If slavery is not wrong, nothing is wrong.”

United Nations Secretary General is Signalling the 'Great Reset' is Coming

This should be an alarm bell for us all.

I have written before that under the cover of the COVID-19 panic the World Economic Forum is about to launch the Great Reset (See: BEWARE: The Global Crony Crowd is Going to Use COVID-19 as Cover to Reset the Economy and the World).

Now, António Guterres,  Secretary-General of the United Nations, has sent out a tweet encouraging the Great Reset:

They are going to use the COVID panic and mix it with Social Justice nonsense to attempt to rip up what is left of free markets and free people.

The World Economic Forum Great Reset conference was originally scheduled for January 2021 but has been postponed until the early summer of 2021.

This could be the most dangerous meeting of elites in history. In many ways, it could be comparable to The Constitutional Convention of 1787 but the outcome will have near-global application with much more sinister and anti-freedom goals.

Andy Kim GUILTY? Was it a case of Depraved Indifference to Human Life?

The other day we came across this political commercial put out by congressional candidate Andy Kim…

Hand on his heart, Andy Kim assures us that he “listened and worked together to save lives.”  But it’s not true.  And according to the New Yorker magazine, it’s some of the worst bullshit imaginable.

Nobody listened.  Lives were lost.  Some shot to death or butchered with knives, other burnt alive, some buried alive in the desert.  Thousands of women and girls raped… over and over again.  Women and children sold like cattle.  Modern day slavery – all while Andy Kim was safe… in that “situation room.”

According to his own statements made in November 2016 at William & Mary College, Andy Kim comfortably watched as a genocide unfolded on the TV screens and monitors in that “situation room.”  Andy Kim has tried to play that down – calling it a “potential genocide” – but the United Nations disagrees with him and so do the community of people who suffered that genocide.  Andy Kim has lied throughout his campaign about this:

“…when ISIS threatened genocide on the Yazidi people sheltering on Sinjar Mountain in Iraq, Andy worked with the U.S. military to coordinate a rescue mission.”

(Andy Kim for Congress Facebook, www.facebook.com/pg/AndyKimNJ/about/)

But there was no “rescue mission” by the Obama administration worthy of the name.  In the end, the Yazidi people were rescued by a Kurdish militia group labeled as “terrorists” by Vice President Joe Biden, in order to appease the Islamist regime in Turkey.

We know that Yazidi expats resident in the United States pleaded with the Obama administration – and directly with Andy Kim – and that Kim’s response was weak and insufficient to prevent what President Obama himself has called “genocide” (Washington Post, August 8, 2014).

And it is very clear, from the Yazidis’ story, that they believed that genocide was about to happen and that, afterwards, it was allowed to happen.  If the administration had listened to these Yazidi expats – all of whom had formerly worked for the United States military – the Obama administration’s response could have been more precise and robust and lives could have been saved.

This small immigrant community – a repressed religious minority in their homeland (and so genuine refugees from violence) – came up against an elitist administration that wouldn’t listen to them because they weren’t “experts” like Andy Kim thought he was.   The fact that Andy Kim is trying to now portray his weak response to this genocide in a “positive” way – as a recommendation for higher office – is sickening when the real record is examined… the killings, the rapes, and the slavery that did happen to the Yazidis’ community and to their family members because Andy Kim and others like him in the Obama administration were too “smart” to take the common sense advice from those who understood what was actually going on.

It’s all there, in the New Yorker magazine.  Not a right-wing anything but the jewel in the crown of literary liberalism.  Go read it for yourself and prepare to weep and feel the disgrace of it.  Of the failure that was Andy Kim and the Obama administration.  Of the genocide that candidate Andy Kim now tries to turn into a qualification for Congress.

The long article begins…

The Daring Plan to Save a Religious Minority from ISIS

When the terrorist group attacked the Yazidis, a small group of American immigrants knew they could do something.

By Jenna Krajeski

ISIS intended to wipe out the Yazidi religion in Iraq. Yazidis in America had a plan, so they started driving to Washington…

…After 2003, when the United States invaded Iraq, Pir and Ismael, like many Yazidi men, took jobs as interpreters for the U.S. military. Because they were a targeted religious minority, there was little opportunity outside the Army, and they were unlikely to join the Iraqi insurgency. In the military, they befriended another Yazidi, named Haider Elias, who, in spite of his poor background, spoke nearly perfect English, with a TV-made American accent.

The three men worked with the U.S. for years, often with the Special Forces…

In the course of a few days, the Yazidis met with organizations such as U.S.A.I.D. and the Institute for International Law and Human Rights. They went to the White House to meet with the deputy national-security adviser, Ben Rhodes, and the adviser on Iraq, Andy Kim, in the Roosevelt Room. “That was as emotional a meeting as I think I had,” Rhodes told me. “Given the role we played in invading and occupying and being present in Iraq for so many years, we had to care about what was happening to the Yazidis.”

To be continued…

Child sex trafficking: Learn what you can do to stop it.

Kudos to Attorney General Gurbir Grewal who last week arrested two dozen men for using social media to lure underage girls and boys for sex. Thankfully, the children targeted turned out to be undercover officers, part of an operation put together by our AG called “Open House”.

Attorney General Grewal said that most of the defendants were arrested when they arrived at a location in Toms River, where they allegedly expected to find their victim home alone. What they found instead, were law enforcement officers ready to arrest them..

"It is a frightening reality that sexual predators are lurking on social media, ready to strike if they find a child who is vulnerable," AG Grewal said. "To counter that threat, we are working collaboratively and aggressively across all levels of law enforcement to apprehend these sex offenders. We want child predators to know that we are on social media too - and the child they target may be the undercover officer who puts them in handcuffs. That is the message of Operation Open House."

The arrests were made over a five-day period from September 5th through September 9th.   All 24 were arrested and charged with second-degree luring, and other crimes, including second-degree attempted sexual assault on a minor and third-degree attempted debauching the morals of a child. Five of those arrested face third-degree charges of attempted sharing obscene materials with a child for allegedly sending photos of their genitals to undercover detectives.

Those who deal in the trafficking of women and children for America’s booming sex industry use the same on-line methods that those arrested last week used. This isn’t a victimless crime.  Many of the victims have been brought to America to be sold into this modern slavery.  A United Nations study estimated that the criminal cartels who control the trafficking of human beings and illegal narcotics into the United States collect $6.6 billion annually.

And who is being trafficked?  Here, meet some of the victims…

The United Nations has issued reports showing human trafficking is the fastest growing organized criminal activity on earth.  Secure borders help prevent human trafficking and the exploitation of children.  Secure borders fight modern day slavery.

Porous borders are not only a boon to modern day slavery – the trafficking and sale of human beings, especially children – they facilitate the trafficking of illegal narcotics, opioids, and illegal firearms to. There have been irresponsible calls to abolish ICE (Immigration & Customs Enforcement) and to open the doors to a nightmarish wild west scenario.  If ICE is gone, who will be around to prevent the living horror of modern slavery?

Some have adopted dangerously naïve views about border security.  A lot of those on the Far-Left want to permit the border to grow more and more porous – allowing thousands more victims (mainly women and children) to be shipped and sold like cattle, welcoming more dangerous illegal drugs into our communities, and providing illegal firearms for organized criminal gangs.  We must address this in no uncertain terms.

On Thursday, there will be a reception to discuss the Human Trafficking & Child Exploitation Prevention Act.  This is a bi-partisan initiative aimed at stopping the trafficking of children in the United States at the source… the Internet.

We hope you can attend.

Do foreign murder rates mean NJ is paying for trouble?

Instead of allocating it for property tax relief, Governor Phil Murphy and the Democrats in the Legislature took $2.1 million and handed it to immigration attorneys to help those illegally in New Jersey and facing deportation to stay.  That’s right, illegal aliens who face court-ordered deportation can now fight it, courtesy of the New Jersey taxpayer.

And the first thing that those immigration attorneys did was to complain that it wasn’t enough!  Hey ingrates… at least give a round of applause to Governor Murphy for doing what he promised to do.  Even if you disagree with him, that’s something.  But he did what you wanted and you still complain.  Why is it that some people are never satisfied?  It’s just bitch… bitch… bitch.

The immigration attorneys being funded by the money that should have gone to property tax relief for… seniors trying to keep out of foreclosure… the working poor… single moms trying their best to keep the kids fed and a roof over their heads… you know, all those folks nobody seems to care about anymore…

Well those immigration attorneys claimed that this money would only cover about 14 percent of what they were fixing to charge.  Can you see these lawyers, all salivating around a pot of taxpayers’ money, thinking about how much they can trouser for “doing good” and “making the world a better place.”  Don’t know how to break it to you, but sainthood is a poor person’s profession.  How many Hoboken townhouses, Jersey City condos, or shore houses did Mother Theresa have?

You know what?  We bet they already have some well-connected lawyer-lobbyist down in Trenton trying to get them even more of your money – the money that should have gone to property tax relief for a state with one of the highest foreclosure rates in America.

As for making the world a better place… well hold on there just a minute.

We’re always told – by groups like NAP, the Million Moe March, Show of the Hands, Gabriel’s BoBo, and the Multi-Rainbow Redaction Caucus – that America has the biggest murder rate of anywhere in the world.  You all buy that, right?

Well the United Nations doesn’t buy it.  No siree.

According to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, the global international homicide rate is 6.2 per 100,000.  For the United States of America, it is 5.35 per 100,000.

Yep, we’re in 87th place as far as murder rates go… not #1 like some would have you believe.  We do about the same as Greenland, a bit better than Ukraine and Argentina, not quite as good as Lithuania and Cuba.  Sure, there is a whole lot of room for improvement until we become one of those countries (like Great Britain) where the cops don’t carry guns (although that is changing… fast).

But then look at the where our immigration is coming from and you’ll soon think twice about holding your breath waiting for the day the police go around with only a notepad for protection.  According to the United States Department of Homeland Security, 55% of those residing in America illegally are from Mexico (some of these are pass-throughs from other Central or South American nations).  In second place is El Salvador.  Third place goes to Guatemala.  In fifth place is Honduras.  In tenth place, the Dominican Republic.

Now here is where it gets scary.  According to the United Nations, El Salvador and Honduras have the highest murder rates in the world – at 82.84 per 100,000 and 56.52 per 100,000 respectively.  Guatemala’s murder rate is 27.26 per 100,000.  Mexico has a murder rate nearly four times that of the United States – at 19.26 per 100,000.  The Dominican Republic has a murder rate of 15.18 per 100,000.

Would our murder rate be significantly lower without the influx of young males from these high-murder rate countries?  It is certainly something worthy of a thorough government study.

If it turns out, as some studies have suggested, that we are sustaining our murder rate on the basis of outside “talent” then the party or parties responsible should face hell to pay.  Murder, rape, robbery, and violent assault are life altering experiences and we would do well to examine what policies could be negatively impacting the prevention of such crimes.  Even property crimes like burglary cause severe emotion reactions and even mental disorders.  According to the U.S. Justice Department’s Bureau of Justice Statistics, there were 5.8 million violent victimizations and 17.1 million property victimizations for the latest year surveyed.

Crime and its causes cannot be brushed aside out of ideological convenience.  It is a people issue – the need to feel safe and secure is a basic human need.  Those advocating the headlong rush to prevent every illegal facing deportation from being sent home, just because it falls under the administration of President Donald Trump, would do well to consider the potential outcomes of such policies.

Kudos to Assemblyman Hal Wirths (R-24) for thinking instead of emoting.  In contrast to some cringe-worthy comments made by another Republican, Wirths told the Associated Press that the state’s already impoverished taxpayers couldn’t afford to send the money to lawyers to represent illegal aliens.  Wirth’s has introduced legislation “barring taxpayer dollars from being used to assist (illegal) immigrants.”

We think we have a couple good ideas too.  (1) Use the $2.1 million for property tax relief and have the Democrat State Committee collect the money needed to pay all those immigration lawyers from the fat campaign accounts collecting dust in banks all over the state.  You want to do good… do good… with your own money.  Don’t spend other people’s money and then bask in the reflected glory of it… while they get foreclosed on.  And (2) according to media sources that rich guy we elected governor is worth several hundred million dollars.  Let him put up the $2.1 million… he’d be a hero!

Andy Kim: Petraeus gave out medals for "schmoozing"

Poor Andy Kim.  Trying to make himself out to be some kind of warlord while working for two of the wildest hanky-panky loving generals in memory.

Andy Kim claims to have been on assignment in Afghanistan in 2011.  That's when two now disgraced generals ran the United Nations operation there.  Kim claims it was a NATO deal, but that is just more of his b.s. -- it was a U.N. operation.

The International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) was a NATO-led security mission in Afghanistan, established by the United Nations Security Council in December 2001 by Resolution 1386.  Its main purpose was to train the Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) and assist Afghanistan in rebuilding key government institutions.  In October 2003, the UN Security Council authorized the expansion of the ISAF mission throughout Afghanistan.  ISAF ceased operations and was disbanded in December 2014.

And while Andy Kim wants to beat his chest about it, the truth is much sadder, as these headlines show...

No, it doesn't look like Andy and the Obama administration solved much.

But there was time for fun... and a lot of hanky panky.  According to numerous media reports, one of the guys Kim worked for -- John Allen -- exchanged 30,000 emails with a lovely beauty in Tampa, Florida.  No kidding -- 30,000 emails.  How did the guy manage to get anything done with all that playmail?

All that carrying on made the American military a laughingstock...

(Daily Mail, March 28, 2016)

In Andy Kim's defense, he is never mentioned in connection to any of the hanky panky -- unless he answered to one of the nicknames "snoopy" or "moe of planet moe".  No, Andy Kim didn't merit a mention in the biography of General Petraeus written by the lady reservist Petraeus was getting it on with.  But they did get the same photo-op:

And as for awards.  Poor Andy was left in the dust again.  The civilian service award that Andy Kim got was a paltry affair compared to the big-deal Joint Chiefs of Staff award that the "quad-feeler" socialite got.  Apparently they were handing out civilian awards like candy over at Fort Runamuck.

COMRADES: Jill Kelley demonstrates her “selfless contributions” for which Gen. David Petraeus (left) bestowed the second-highest citation for a civilian.

They’ll give a medal to anyone.

Military schmoozer Jill Kelley — a central figure in the investigation of Gen. David Petraeus — in March 2011 was awarded a prestigious medal from the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

The award, the country’s second-highest honor for a civilian, was given to acknowledge Kelley’s “selfless contributions” and “willingness to host engagements” for top pols and military brass.

Beads... Maybe Andy should have worn beads.

Meanwhile, actual heroes were getting screwed by the Petraeus crew that Andy Kim worked for...

Ex-Army Gen. David Petraeus tried to downgrade war hero’s valor award: Pentagon

(New York Daily News, November 8, 2013)

A soldier nominated for the Medal of Honor, the nation's highest award for valor, had to endure a sneak attack from then-Army Gen. David Petraeus, who reportedly wanted to downgrade his heroism.

A Pentagon investigation into the botched nomination of Army Capt. William Swenson revealed Petraeus surreptitiously tried to give Swenson the nation's second-highest award, according to reports.  Swenson, 34, ultimately was awarded the Medal of Honor by President Obama last month for nearly singlehandedly fighting off 60 Taliban insurgents in 2009. He heroically assisted injured U.S. and Afghan troops following an assault in the Ganjgal Valley, and further proved his mettle by returning to the dangerous scene multiple times to recover his fallen brothers and sisters.

Never fear though, Petraeus did manage to dish out the civilian awards like hot dogs at a baseball game...

General Petraeus Gave Jill Kelley A Medal For Schmoozing

(Business Insider, November 22, 2012)

Did you know you can get a medal from the U.S. military for schmoozing?

Apparently you can.

At General David Petraeus's recommendation, the Joint Chiefs of Staff gave Tampa Bay socialite Jill Kelley the country's second-highest honor a civilian can receive, reports Jeane MacIntosh of the New York Post.

Kelley received the award from Petraeus himself in a ceremony in Washington DC last year.

Jeane MacIntosh quotes from the citation, which lauds Kelley for many achievements:

·       "outstanding public service to the United States Central Command, the MacDill Air Force Base community and the Department of Defense from October 31, 2008 to May 31, 2010."

·       Kelley's work in "advancing various military endeavors" and her "willingness to host engagements with senior national representatives from more than 60 countries," according to the Tampa Tribune.

·       "On multiple occasions, Mrs. Kelley invited senior national representatives, their spouses and senior leaders to her home to demonstrate their gratitude and support. These events promoted camaraderie, understanding and a better appreciation for coalition and military customs, concerns and abilities."

·       "She [was] instrumental in introducing the commander, early in his tenure, to local and state officials, particularly the mayor of Tampa and the governor of Florida."

·       "The singularly distinctive accomplishments of Mrs. Jill Kelley are in keeping with the finest traditions of public service and reflect great credit upon herself, United States Central Command and the Department of Defense."

Amazing the things you learn from a sex scandal.

We have excerpts below for those of you who have not had the opportunity to read General Petraeus' biography, All In, written by former "squeeze" Paula Broadwell...

On Getting People to Vote, Fred Snowflack has some words of wisdom.

Fred Snowflack is a wise old owl.  A career journalist of the old school, card carrier of the Society of Professional Journalists, an exceptional editor, and the type of old-fashioned liberal that every small community once benefitted from -- be it town or neighborhood.  His traditional liberalism, long out of fashion today, was tuned to Professor Karl Polanyi's warning that... "Robbed of the protective covering of cultural institutions, human beings would perish from the effects of social exposure; they would die as the victims of acute social dislocation through vice, perversion, crime, and starvation.  Nature would be reduced to its elements, neighborhoods and landscapes defiled, rivers polluted, military safety jeopardized, the power to produce food and raw materials destroyed."

We are fortunate that Mr. Snowflack still has a venue for his writing.  The balanced opinions he once offered in the pages of Gannett publications like the Daily Record are now available on InsiderNJ.com.  Yesterday's column by Snowflack, was evidence (if any was needed) that he has lost none of his abilities to get to the heart of something and touch it with a needle.  Writing about the Women's March rally in Morristown over the weekend, he offered this insight:

" Are we seeing a Democratic version of the Tea Party?

Perhaps.

That thought crossed my mind last weekend as I covered the Women’s March in Morristown and read about similar marches all over the country.

I came across one quote in particular from a Bergen County woman who attended the march in Manhattan. She said that until the election of Donald Trump as president, she and her circle of friends spent much of their TV time watching “reality shows.”  Now, they watch news programs, or if you prefer, “real reality shows.”

This is important for politics now and going forward.

Follow politics for a while and you quickly realize that a key to winning elections is not convincing those who disagree with you to come over to your side. That’s unlikely to happen, especially in these very polarizing times.

The key is to somehow get those who agree with you to actually vote.

This is critical at a time when voter turnout is considered good if it reaches 50 percent. The more “non-voters” you can energize, the better it is for you.

His full column is here:  https://www.insidernj.com/anti-trump-political-movement-search-name-catchy-tea-party/

Wow!  Now there is a man who gets it!

The key to winning elections is to motivate people who generally don't vote, but who would consider voting for your party.

That's contrary to the mantra coming from some GOP types -- like defeated gubernatorial candidate Kim Guadagno.  They claim that only a "moderate" can win statewide.  This is, of course, simply an opinion and an opinion that ignores the fact that the only Republican who has won statewide in the last twenty years has been Pro-Life, Pro-Second Amendment, and opposed to Same-Sex Marriage.

This unreason is widespread and it gets even worse.  Indeed, in the case of the Bergen County Republican Organization (BCRO), the claim is made that only a "moderate" can win in a congressional district that voted for Donald Trump

In these very partisan times, merely having an "R" next to your name -- leave out supporting Donald Trump or Chris Christie -- is enough to preclude any significant support from voters who self-identify as Pro-Choice on Abortion, Pro-Gun Control, and Pro-LGBT.  If these are your first tier issues, what floats your boat, you are not voting Republican in 2018.  Period.

Despite this, there is a full court press to mint Republican candidates who intentionally suppress key parts of the GOP base.  Like the BCRO's Pro-Abortion John McCann.  In elections that increasingly depend on identifying and turning out anyone who will even consider voting Republican, this is a disastrous trend.

Of course, these left-of-center Republicans tend to be popular with the dregs of the GOP's Whitman-era glitterati --  cocktail-party liberals and crony capitalists who still think they run the NJGOP -- and who are increasingly uncomfortable in the knowledge that they make up just a thimbleful of actual Republican voters.

Unfortunately for them, most voters are not looking to transfer more wealth and power to the one-percent, while infantilizing various "groups" deemed worthy of protection.

Working class Republican voters and working class Democrat voters are really not that different.  They care about being able to have the means to life.  They want jobs, the opportunity to start a small business; to be free from the worry of foreclosure; an education system that balances costs with results; a safety net that hasn't all been spent before they need it, and a justice system that looks on them a free citizens and that keeps safe the places where they live, work, and shop.

The needs of working people are pretty straightforward.  If it were an ice cream shop it would be plain vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry.  Of course, the oligarchs of the Democrat Party can't provide that -- so they advertise a dozen flavors other than vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry -- while the "My Party Too" Whitman Republicans have placed out a sign that says, "Closed for business, we've run out of ideas."

Why this is so was the subject of a study conducted by Princeton University.  Take the time to listen to this video.  It could be an eye-opener:

Instead of trying to stand-out and apart from the "usual" Republican through the tired and ultimately unconvincing trope of "a different kind of Republican" when it comes to abortion and LGBT rights, the next generation of Republican candidates could act boldly and stand out as pledged to ending modern slavery.  If you need to know how bad it is, just read the newspapers.  Just last week, the Star-Ledger ran this...

"Authorities say a teenage girl found walking along Interstate 295 in Mercer County last week was a victim of human trafficking and had escaped from a motel, where she was forced into prostitution...

An investigation led to the arrests of Ashley Gardener, 29, and her partner, Breon Mickens, 26, both of Trenton.

Mickens and Gardener had transported the teenager to multiple hotels against her will and forced her to engage in prostitution, police said.

Gardener allegedly forced the victim to engage in sexual activity with multiple men and allegedly collected the money paid by the clients. She also placed sexually suggestive ads on Backpage.com with photos of herself and the victim, police said.

The ads offered adult entertainment and listed a phone number police say belonged to Gardener."

Or you can listen to Ashton Kutcher's testimony before Congress...

According to the U.S. Justice Department, as many as 300,000 Americans under 18 are lured into the commercial sex trade every year.  The Internet is the vehicle for 76 percent of the transactions for sex with underage girls.

The average victim is between 11 and 14 years old.  These victims come from all walks of life -- from every race, social, and economic background.

The problem is made worse by America's fluid borders.  According to the United Nations (UNICEF), 2 million children are trafficked in the global prostitution trade. The U.S. State Department reports that from 600,000 to 800,000 people (mainly women and children) are bought and sold across international borders every year and exploited for slave labor and prostitution.

Human Trafficking has surpassed the sale of illegal arms and is set to surpass the illegal sale of drugs.  The FBI reports that human trafficking is on the rise in all 50 states and represents a multi-billion dollar criminal industry.

New Jersey is a "hub for human trafficking," according to the New Jersey Attorney General's Office.  In September, 14 people were arrested in a child-porn and human trafficking operation in Monmouth County.  In October , the FBI announced that it had uncovered and arrested 42 child sex traffickers in New Jersey.  The Star-Ledger reported that the 42 were arrested on charges that included sex trafficking, child exploitation and prostitution.  A total of 84 children were rescued during the operation.  At the beginning of December, 79 suspects were arrested on a host of charges that included sexual assault, using the Internet to send inappropriate images to children, and child pornography.

And with schools requiring young students to have access to the Internet, it is no longer about the parent.  The government-run education system supplants the parents and requires the child to be connected to the Internet.  For many children, it's like requiring them to walk to and from school on a dangerous, traffic-filled highway.

There was legislation in Trenton to addresses this growing criminal enterprise aimed at our children.  It was a bill championed by Republican State Senator Steve Oroho, and it attracted substantial bi-partisan support.  Despite having enough legislators committed to passing this legislation -- either as co-sponsors or supporters -- the Democrats who run both chambers of the Legislature killed it.

They listened to objections from the porn industry, who have adopted a "no questions asked" attitude on where their profits come from.  Porn is legal and the corporations who profit from it and their allies are the enablers of human trafficking.

This state legislation has companion bills in nearly every state and in the United States Congress.  Republicans could be its champion.  Instead of taking on the self-defeating label of "Pro-Choice on Abortion Republican", Republicans could be the face of the Human Trafficking and Child Exploitation Prevention Act and offer a constitutional way to prevent predators from using the Internet to sexually exploit children.  Republicans could be leaders in championing the technology to defeat child sex traffickers.

Yes, we know it is outside the Whitman-era, "My Party Too" box.  But think about it.

New UN report finds 40 million slaves across the globe

The International Labor Organization (ILO), part of the United Nations estimates that more than 25 million people are in forced labor and 15 million people are in sexual slavery.  The report, called the 2017 Global Estimates of Modern Slavery notes that it is "impossible to know exactly how many people are living in modern slavery, and different studies have produced different estimates."

According to the report, women and girls accounted for 71 percent of slavery victims, including 99 percent of those in the commercial sex industry and 84 percent of victims of forced marriages.  Children made up around 37 percent of those forced to marry, as well as 18 percent of forced labor victims and 21 percent of victims of sexual exploitation. An estimated 4.1 million people are victims of forced labor imposed by authoritarian governments.

The report found that modern slavery was most prevalent in Africa (7.6 victims per 1,000 people), followed by Asia and the Pacific (6.1 per 1,000).  Forced labor was most prevalent in the Asia and the Pacific region, (4 victims per 1,000 people), and forced marriage was most prevalent in Africa (4.8 per 1,000), followed by Asia and the Pacific (2 per 1,000). The report warns that these regional figures should be interpreted with caution, because of a lack of available data in some regions, notably the Arab States and the Americas.

The report identified forced labor in all kinds of industries.  In the cases where the type of work was known, 24 percent of adults were domestic workers, 18 percent were in construction, 15 percent in manufacturing, and 11 percent in agriculture and fishing.

An estimated 3.8 million adults were victims of forced sexual exploitation and 1 million children were victims of sexual exploitation.  A recent CNN documentary focused on one American metropolitan area -- Atlanta -- and found that the illegal sex industry there generates around $290 million a year.

The first transgendered terrorist?

A few days after Islamic terrorists slaughtered 130 mainly young people at a rock concert in Paris, a few days before Islamic terrorists murdered 14 people at a Christmas party in California, Democrat Speaker Vinnie Prieto put out a press release in support of the process by which refugees from war torn Syria come to the United States.  That process places the United Nations in charge of determining refugee status and then whether or not someone should be placed in another country -- including the United States.

Ignoring how one of the Paris terrorists used the Syrian refugee crisis to slip into Europe, the Speaker claimed that most of those coming to the United States were "orphans", while other Democrats used the term "women and children".  Both are mischaracterizations.  Federal resettlement figures of Syrian refugees indicate that a majority are adult and a plurality are adult males. Besides which, after last week's massacre in California, it should be clear that a woman can be as deadly a terrorist as a man.

Since September 11, 2001, millions of Americans have directly or indirectly suffered the effects of terrorism.  Thousands have been directly killed at the hands of terrorists.  Much has been made by President Obama and other Democrats about how they intend to keep Americans safe AND open to populations coming to America from regions of Islamic conflict.  These Democrats say that the "vetting" process is effective, but a look at the case of the woman who took part in murdering 14 Americans in California makes that argument meaningless.

First, her name.  Tashfeen Malik is the name of a man.  Tashfeen is a male Arabic name meaning "sympathetic" or "compassionate."  Malik is a name common in the Black Muslim community here in America.  It means "king."  So why didn't the Department of State notice this when they issued her a fiancé visa?

But wait, it gets more explicit.  In history, Tashfeen Malik was a famous Islamic Jihadist who, twenty years after William the Conqueror invaded England, fought the Battle of Sagrajas in Spain that defeated the Christian king and maintained Islam in Europe.  The Spanish Christians were outnumbered three to one, so Tashfeen Malik offered them three choices: Convert to Islam, pay tribute, or death.  The Christians chose to fight and were slaughtered.  The battle in Arabic is called  Zallaqa or "slippery ground" because the soldiers were slipping all over the ground due to the amount of blood.

A woman with a man's name that is also the name of a famous Islamic Jihadist.  So how did those responsible for "vetting" miss that?

Maybe they are just like Speaker Prieto and the Democrats in New Jersey, who recently passed legislation that allows any man to claim that he is a woman or woman to claim that she is a man, simply by deciding to be so.  No sex reassignment surgery is necessary.  You just think it so and that makes it so.

Perhaps this way of thinking has infected the State Department?  That would explain how a woman carrying a man's name got a fiancé visa without any objection being raised.

Apparently, State Department officials were so frightened to question the established "politically correct" line on these things that nobody even took a second look at the name -- which absolutely screamed Jihad.  Whatever the reason, 14 Americans will not be spending the holidays with their families.  Instead, their families are burying them.

Prieto puts P.C. before the lives of Americans

The Democrats' Speaker Prieto would rather add more photos to these victims of terror, than not be politically correct.

The boss of New Jersey's Assembly Democrats, Vincent "Limp Vinnie" Prieto, issued a public statement today (drafted by sometime journalist, sometime political hack, Tom "whatever pays" Hester) that was monstrous in its conceit.  It let the world know that Limp Vinnie Prieto is willing to sacrifice the lives of innocent Americans on the altar of political correctness.

In it, Speaker Prieto accused Governor Chris Christie of "xenophobia" for suggesting that America properly police its borders and hold off taking in new immigrants from Syria in light of the ongoing investigations into Syrian involvement in the terrorist killings of more than 120 people in France last Friday night.  Looks like another case of P.C. uber alles.

Ever notice that when they can't think of anything original to say, idiots like Prieto will use the term "phobia" to excuse themselves from having to make a rational argument?  Today it is "xenophobia" -- the fear of discussing our government's failure to secure its borders against narcotics smuggling, human trafficking, illegal firearms, and terrorism.  Tomorrow it will be "Mistressphobia" -- the fear of discussing how many jobs are held by people who have seen various Democrat legislators naked.  Whenever you don't want to discuss something, call it a "phobia", pull your shorts down around your ankles, and then hop away.

Speaker Prieto is the very worst kind of hypocrite -- supporting restrictions on Cuba that led to thousands trying to reach America by raft -- while weeping crocodile tears over those trying to reach Europe by raft.  Prieto tries to blame Governor Chris Christie for the drowning deaths in the attempt by Syrians to reach Europe, while he ignores the drowning deaths of Cubans trying to reach the United States.

Speaker Prieto even attacked President Obama when he lifted restrictions on Cuba in 2014, telling the Hudson Reporter (December 21, 2014) that he "does not want the restrictions lifted."  So while he pretends concern for Syrian children, Speaker Prieto didn't give a damn about the children of Cuba who, according to United Nations reports, were harmed by the restrictions he supports.

Under the restrictions that Prieto supports, Cuban children and their parents were denied access to technology, medicine, affordable food, and other goods.  According to a report commissioned by the American Association for World Health, under those restrictions, doctors in Cuba had access to less than 50 percent of the drugs on the world market.  The same report stated that food shortages led to a 33 percent decline in caloric intake between 1989 and 1993.  The report went on: "It is our expert medical opinion that the U.S. embargo has caused a significant rise in suffering-and even deaths-in Cuba."

In 2011, Amnesty International reported: "Treatments for children and young people with bone cancer... [and] antiretroviral drugs used to treat children with HIV/AIDS" were not readily available with the restrictions in place because "they were commercialized under US patents."  And yet the same politician who supported these restrictions -- leader of the Assembly Democrats, Speaker Vincent "Limp Vinnie" Prieto, has the monstrous hypocrisy to call out Governor Christie for his prudent calls to restrict the flow of Syrian immigrants into the United States in the wake of the terrorist attacks in Paris that left hundreds of innocents killed and wounded.

As Francois Hollande, the President of France said to his people:  "The Paris attacks were decided and planned in Syria, organized in Belgium and carried out in France."

Only an uncaring fool would place the lives of Americans at risk in order to make a P.C. fashion statement.  Only an uncaring fool like Limp Vinnie Prieto.
