Sussex County stands up to woke Fascism.

Voltaire said that.  Voltaire was a pen name.  The writer’s real name was François-Marie Arouet.
 
Translated, the quote reads: “If God did not exist, it would be necessary to invent him.”  Voltaire was right.
 
All through the long decline of rock, we’ve watched as the last bits and pieces of what was once called Christendom were swept out of the public square.  But the square wasn’t left naked for long. 
 
A gale force, illiberal wind blowing – an invisible wall of irrational certainty swept in.  Behold the new religion! 
 
No need for discussion.  Dialog is dead.  Threats, shunning, torture, and violence are its means of proselytization.  Forced conversion or cancellation.  Behold its new adherents.
 
What would the late Christopher Hitchens have made of Kristy Lavin?  Proclaiming humanism, but needing a god, even as she rejected the values of tradition.
 
Well, she has found a new certainty.  A woke god.  A new community amongst those similarly lost.  And a craven bishop in Phil Murphy. 
 
It was all on display at last evening’s meeting of the Sussex County Board of Commissioners.  Kristy Lavin believes in original sin – that is, the original sin of being born with “white” skin.  The world is fallen, under the influence of something called “systemic racism” – with devils and ogres by degree, from “Republican” to “Oathkeeper”.  And the great fallen one in this new mysticism is the orange demon known as Trump, about whom stories are told to frighten little children to bed, or to eat their supper.   
 
See, QAnon has no patent on crazy. 
 
And so, Lavin brought the new gospel to the northern people – a tribe of modern day Picts.  She implored them to believe – as she believes – in the authority of her church, in the wisdom of bishop Murphy.  She rallied believers to remotely spit and moo and threat-face.  The greybacks amongst them threw dung at the elders of the Pictish tribe.  But without success. 
 
These Picts still hold with ancient ways.  A tradition – not of privilege but of hard work.  The values of common sense and minding your own business.  A virtue neither black or white but rather, human.

The Sussex County Board of Commissioners passed the following resolution at yesterday evening’s meeting.  This pissed-off many of the Democrats in attendance to no end.  Among whom were a half dozen defeated candidates for public office, the two current Democrat candidates for County Commissioner, the Democrat State Committeewoman, a spokesperson for the local county party, and someone who apparently serves as a spokesperson for Governor Murphy. 
 
Here is the text of the document they found so very offensive:
 
WHEREAS, Sussex County is an excellent place to live, work and visit because of the people who call it home; and
WHEREAS, we recognize that our county is comprised of diverse community members having many different perspectives, cultures and lived experiences; and
WHEREAS, every member of our community has a right to safety, security, freedom, opportunity and, just as importantly, respect; and
WHEREAS, Sussex County supports and protects all its residents no matter their ethnicity, race, faith or gender, and stands united with all its citizens in condemning hate in all forms; and
WHEREAS, we, here in Sussex County, believe in the words written in The Declaration of Independence in which our nation was built: “We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men and women are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness”; and
WHEREAS, in Sussex County we respect the life and dignity of each human being without discrimination or prejudice and are committed to the principals of equality and nondiscrimination for all residents including ensuring each individual’s civil rights; and
WHEREAS, we affirm the value of human diversity because it enriches our lives and our county.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that The Sussex County Board of County Commissioners rejects and strongly condemns hate in all of its forms and believes that defeating hate is achieved through respect; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that The Sussex County Board of County Commissioners reaffirms its support for protecting and advancing the constitutional rights and equitable treatment of all residents and its opposition to discrimination, prejudice, fear, and intimidation; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that The Sussex County Board of County Commissioners does hereby pledge our collective commitment to incorporate respect into Sussex County’s mission as respect will always defeat hate; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all are proudly welcome, respectfully, in Sussex County, New Jersey; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution, shall be transmitted by the Clerk of the Board to the Governor, the Lt. Governor, the Attorney General, and to the Leadership of both Chambers of the New Jersey Legislature.
 
Now what could Kristy Lavin and her disciples find objectionable in that?  But they did… and their candidates did… and their Member of State Committee did… and their County Committee did… and their spokesperson for Governor Murphy did.
 
We are beginning to think this new religion a branch of Calvinism… with an emphasis on total depravity and limited atonement.  Cheers!

Herald admits it lied – corrects story that falsely attacks Commissioner Dawn Fantasia

Update to the story below. The New Jersey Herald has issued a correction.

There are two reporters from the New Jersey Herald who need to resign immediately. Because they lied. Because they simply made up something to push a political agenda.

The New Jersey Herald is subsidized by the property taxpayers of Sussex County. That subsidy is in the form of public notices, required by law to be published in newspapers like the Herald. Millions of dollars worth each year. That’s millions of property tax dollars in the state with the highest property taxes in America. The taxpayers deserve better. They shouldn’t be forced to subsidize lies.

NEWTON — During a heated discussion about anti-hate resolutions last week, the head of the Sussex County Board of Commissioners brought up two instances of vandalism and a reported shooting near the home of Sheriff Michael Strada last summer.

Board Director Dawn Fantasia cited the incidents before proposing a resolution to condemn antifa and Black Lives Matter on Wednesday night. That came amid a debate with local residents over an earlier proposal to condemn white supremacy, neo-Nazism, white nationalists and the riot by Trump supporters at the U.S. Capital Jan. 6.

Here is the text of Board Director Dawn Fantasia’s resolution. Please note that this is also part of the official audio and video record of the Board’s proceedings. It is the official record. There is no getting past it in a court of law:
Anti-Hate Resolution

 
Whereas, those acting on “hate” generally do so from a perceived superiority (ethnic, racial, or other) or certainty about a particular ideological or religious point-of-view.  Examples include Pol Pot’s exterminations in Cambodia, the Nazi Holocaust in Europe, the Soviet Holodomor in the Ukraine, and the Ottoman genocide in Armenia; and  
 
Whereas, history informs us that hate-motivated violence has often been made worse by the interventions of governments.  Examples of this include the sectarian “Troubles” in Northern Ireland, the ethnic conflicts in Rwanda and the former Yugoslavia, the genocide in East Timor, and the on-going genocide of Muslims in Myanmar and China; and
 
Whereas, the word “hate” is a deeply subjective term influenced by any number of cultural, socio-economic, religious, and family influences; and

Whereas, acts of violence against people or property are crimes defined by statute; and

Whereas, The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) defines a “hate crime” as a “criminal offense against a person or property motivated in whole or in part by an offender’s bias against a race, religion, disability, sexual orientation, ethnicity, gender, or gender identity”; and

Whereas, not all crimes of violence fall within the FBI’s definition of a “hate crime”. For example, the heinous terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, that caused the deaths of 2,977 human beings are not counted as “hate crimes” by the FBI; and

Whereas, it is in the public interest of the citizens of the State of New Jersey and this great nation to condemn, in the strongest terms, any “hate crimes” or any other “crimes of hate” (such as the attacks on September 11, 2001) motivated by a perceived superiority (ethnic, racial, or other) or certainty about a particular ideological or religious point-of-view; now, therefore,

Be It Resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Sussex County, New Jersey:

1. This Board strongly condemns “hate crimes” or any other “crime of hate” (such as terrorists' attacks like the attacks on September 11, 2001) motivated by a perceived superiority (ethnic, racial, or other) or certainty about a particular ideological or religious point-of-view. In addition, this Board strongly recommends to all its constituents to abide by the timeless values expressed in the "Golden Rule" (Matthew 7:12), that we "do unto others as we would have them do unto us”.

2. The Governor and the Attorney General are encouraged to provide State assistance to victims of “hate crimes” and other “crimes of hate” (such as terrorists' attacks like the attacks on September 11, 2001) and to enhance security measures and improve preparedness at locations that could be the targets of such crimes.

3. Copies of this resolution, shall be transmitted by the Clerk of the Board to the Governor, the Lt. Governor, the Attorney General, and to the Leadership of both Chambers of the New Jersey Legislature.

Now, we would like Sussex County Democrats Kristy Lavin, Zoe Heath, Katie Rotondi and their allies to pay very close attention here:

We are offering a $1,000 REWARD if anyone can find the words “Antifa” or “Black Lives Matter” or “BLM” in the anti-hate resolution read into the record by Commissioner Director Dawn Fantasia at last Wednesday’s Board meeting.

If nobody claims the reward, we expect Kristy Lavin, Zoe Heath, Katie Rotondi to have the integrity to demand that the taxpayer subsidy which supports the publication of the New Jersey Herald be withdrawn and other arrangements made. While entirely protected speech under the First Amendment, this kind of blatant lying should not be subsidized by the property taxes of the people of Sussex County. You can lie on your own dime.

And at every Board meeting and proceeding going forward, Sussex County Democrats Kristy Lavin, Zoe Heath, Katie Rotondi should be asked if they have collected the reward yet and about the subsidy. That and, of course, their thoughts on the historical connections between their organization and actual Hitler-saluting Nazis.

There is no "Election Day" this year.  This is what we need to do starting tomorrow.  (If you're Jewish, start Tuesday, after Yom Kippur!)

1.  Vote by mail as soon as you get your ballot.  Every day you delay means more time for something to go wrong.  And less time to fix it. If you don’t get your ballot in the mail by Tuesday, October 6, something may be wrong. You may not be registered.  Or your ballot may have been sent to the wrong address.

You can easily fix any problem before Tuesday, October 13. If you discover a problem after Tuesday, October 13, you may be too late.  Don't take the chance of losing your vote. Don't take the chance of taking hours to do something after October 13, that can be fixed in minutes now.  Don't Even Try To Vote In Person On Election Day!

A.   Even if you succeed in voting on Election Day, you will NOT get to use a voting machine.  You will get a “provisional ballot” that is even more unreliable than a mail-in ballot.

B.  If you vote early by mail, you can track your ballot like with Fedex and UPS to make sure it is received and in proper form. If you wait until election day, you will NOT be able to track your ballot.  You will NOT have a chance to fix mistakes.  Your vote will NOT count if you (or an election worker) made any mistake in filling out the forms.

C.  Election officials and challengers for candidates will have their hands full stopping fraud on Election Day.  They don't need distractions or confusion from people on our side trying to vote in person.  Democrats get extra votes when there is confusion and chaos on Election Day.

D.  If you don’t vote until Election Day, the candidates you support will waste a lot of money and time reminding you to vote.  If you vote early, your candidates can target their limited resources on genuine undecided voters who did not yet vote.

This will show if you are registered to vote, and whether your ballot will be mailed to the correct address. Please also check every member of your family, and every friend and neighbor you can reach.

Again, please don’t delay.  You Know Who is working day and night to register new people. 

The deadline is Tuesday, October 13, just two weeks from today.

5.  Please Spend At Least A Half Hour Each Day On Sharing Our Posts On Facebook.  Mark Zuckerberg, the owner of Facebook, has a net worth of more than $100 billion, that is 100,000 million dollars!  He is using that wealth and absolute control over Facebook to defeat Donald Trump and every Republican up for election this year.  If you use Facebook, you already know what he is doing.  

First, he is “blocking” or “throttling back” every conservative who posts on Facebook.  Last January, our Facebook posts were “reaching” 100,000 people each week.  Facebook “throttled us down” to 5,000 people per week.  Facebook algorithms make sure our posts only reach people who are already conservative, and block us from reaching others.   A few days ago, Facebook did the same thing to Tucker Carlson after Carlson posted videos proving that 17 year old Kyle Rittenhouse acted in self-defense. 

Second, Zuckerberg is spamming every user with dozens of unwanted posts each day from CNN, ABCNews, USAToday, NPR, Atlantic, etc.  Each post is pure "woke" Democrat campaign propaganda.  Each post says only bad things about white, male, Christian Republicans.  Or only good things about black, female Democrats or anyone who hates Trump.  Good things about Trump or any Republican are rarely considered "news" and are not posted.  Neither are bad things about Democrats or anything that does not promote their agenda.
