Have New Jersey’s courts been tainted by partisan corruption?

By Rubashov

On May 20th, the so-called “Mastermind of Bridgegate” wrote a column in the New Jersey Globe in which he announced that a civil lawsuit brought by Republican County Commissioner candidate Bill Hayden against the Sussex County Democratic Committee had been “dismissed last month after Hayden missed a court filing deadline.” Apparently, the “Mastermind of Bridgegate” knew about these court proceedings before all the parties to the lawsuit did. How did something so ethically questionable happen?

According to the New Jersey Globe, “Superior Court Judge William J. McGovern dismissed the complaint on April 29 for Hayden’s “failure to state (his) claim.” In a letter dated that same day, Hayden’s attorney wrote to Judge McGovern:

Please note this week my office had begun to prepare documentation for defaults of the above listed matter. Upon conferring with my paralegal, we were curious as the Court did not send any documentation regarding the defendant's failure to respond within the stipulation. Coincidentally, a few minutes later we received a phone call from our Client indicating that in the newspaper he read the above matter had been dismissed on motion, unopposed. We found this odd as we have not received any communication from the court since early March 2022. We checked our email for any communications regarding this matter and discovered no emails from the courts regarding this issue. (See screen shot attached). Finally, we checked the e-Courts docket system and discovered that there had been a motion filed, declared unopposed and an order of dismissal filed. Further, the certification of service only indicated that the documents were filed the e-Courts and there were no courtesy copies sent via email or regular mail by the defendants to us. Furthermore, this office never received a fin order as was ordered to be served by e-Courts for the Court's order of April 29th, 2022, as well as noticing that the defendant had seven (7) days to serve this the order on my office upon receipt. We then checked our email from anything from the Defendant's law firm; yet again there was no communication from this law firm via email regarding this entire matter. (See computer screen shot attached hereto). Further, we never received any regular mail with a copy of said order as well.

Our office never received any communication regarding any aspect of this motion or this case since early March 2022, nor did we receive the final Order we assume after April 29, 2022. Further, counsel for the defendant did not serve us with a copy of the final order as required as well as well as serving courtesy copies of the motion packet itself.

Therefore, if the Court could kindly let us know if a motion is required or will the court make the order void abinitio for failure of service on multiple levels. Considering we received communication from e-courts from early March 2022 and then all of a sudden, we receive nothing appears to be beyond coincidence. I am not a conspiracy theorist, but nonetheless the coincidence of errors seems to be statistically impossible. Based upon the nature of this matter I believe there is "something rotten in Denmark".

Apparently, the United States Supreme Court isn’t the only judicial body that has partisan apparatchiks working within it to corrupt the process of justice. We wonder just how deep the rot goes, given the nature of the case, which was brought by Hayden after the Sussex County Democrats falsely accused him of a crime that, in some circumstances, warrants the death penalty.

In a letter sent out yesterday, Sussex Democrat Chairlady Dawne Rowe, crowed:

“Recently, the Sussex County Democratic Committee boldly took a stand against attacks from right-wing extremists in our county. We successfully defended a lawsuit explicitly designed by our political adversaries to silence us, to curtail our free speech, and to make a mockery of our Constitutional rights.”

First, you didn’t defend anything as some judicial/clerical “mischief” prevented due process from seeing its day in court. Not exactly the way things are supposed to work.

Second, if going around claiming people are committing crimes is now responsible “free speech” to whom will you appeal when someone calls you a “murderer” or a “pedophile”? We well recall how quickly your patron saint, Congressman Josh Gottheimer, threatened legal action when he was falsely accused of a crime. Would you include Congressman Gottheimer among those trying to “silence” his political adversaries?

What the Democrats don’t seem to like about Bill Hayden is that he’s perhaps the most vocal Pro-Trump spokesman in Sussex County, as well as a Tea Partier. He has also questioned the wisdom of Dr. Anthony Fauci, mandatory vaccination, and the COVID restrictions laid down by Governor Phil Murphy. Which is why the choice of Superior Court Judge William J. McGovern seemed to us a somewhat conflicted one. All one need do is visit the honorable judge’s LinkedIn page to see why. On it, you will find this gem:

Dr. Fauci predicted that the virus outbreak would happen over 10 years ago.    He was right. It was only a matter of time.   He said as much in a presentation at HC which anyone can quickly find on YouTube.   He acknowledged he's not always right, but he's right about the science most of the time.   He is an exceptional person, an inspiration, an innovator.   He has taken his time without glory to help many in need of his advice.   I know this personally. It's a fact. Just as millions refused to believe the science that explains the 1918 Spanish flu epidemic, their conspiracy minded descendants live on today.  It's really very simple.  Follow the science.  If you choose to believe a circus clown who advocates inserting ultraviolet light internally, that would reveal that you also probably believe in magic potions.

Might the honorable judge be exhibiting a little hostility towards the politics of certain people? Did he get this case due to an oversight, on purpose, or was it merely the luck of the draw?

The honorables who are responsible for overseeing the judicial process – and the legal establishment as a whole – need to pay close attention to cases like this. If the process is seen to be “less than straight” and people lose faith in the legal process (the way they have already lost faith in things like the electoral process), then it’s a straight road to post-even-pretending it’s a nation of laws. And you don’t want to contemplate what that looks like, because what that looks like is Northern Ireland, during “The Troubles.” It’s not a good look…

This is what happens when we let asswipes falsely accuse people of serious crimes.
