Planned Parenthood's Cannibal Comedienne wants your money

We live in interesting times.  Government and the corporate state -- which promoted the use of opioids before spending billions to address the resulting crisis -- is now busy promoting gender dysphoria, so that in a few years time they'll be asking the question:  Where have all the young men gone?

Of course, there are other forms of dysphoria -- branch outs from that promoted by government, the corporate state, and cultural "fashion" (aka marketing).  These include everything from old people who believe they are toddlers to human beings who "feel better" thinking they are cats... or lizards... or even dragons (even though dragons are not "real" all one needs to make something "real" is to "feel").

So it should come as no surprise that, at a recent fundraising telethon held by supporters of Planned Parenthood, one woman -- a comedian -- "came out" as a cannibal, stating that laws banning the use of aborted fetuses in food products “would make me want to eat an aborted fetus.”  So is fetus the next sushi?  Don't put it past them.

We live in an era when you need a "consent app" to have sex but will soon be able to eat your fellow man.  How long until this culture disappears up its own bunghole?

Meanwhile, Assemblywoman Holly Schepisi (R-39) is continuing her call to see the financial records of Planned Parenthood.  Schepisi is actually a supporter of funding Planned Parenthood, so her call to see the organization's financial records is not part of the Pro-Life/Pro-Abortion divide.  It is just good fiscal sense to find out how an outfit spends its money before the administration of Democrat Phil Murphy goes and throws millions in taxpayers' money at funding it.

“It’s $7 million of public money and if they are unable or incapable of providing something such as a budget,  they should not receive a dollar of public money until they’re willing to do so,” Schepisi told NJ TV.

We understand that for the uneducated few, Planned Parenthood is synonymous with "women's health."  But it's not.  It is only one of many providers all jostling for market share.

No, you say?  It's a non-profit organization?  Sure, and so was the NFL.  And so are a lot of organizations that make billions and pay their executives millions.  Setting up as a "not-for-profit corporation" is simply a business model -- it's not an "I'm not greedy" pass.

And Planned Parenthood is greedy.  It wants total market share.  That's why it organized the way does -- to spend millions on lobbyists and even more on grassroots marketing -- to convince American women that only they provide the services that, in fact, hundreds of other organizations provide.  We're sure Macy's would like to have the same deal.

Planned Parenthood uses well-paid lobbyists and political pressure to secure government money with as little questions asked as possible.  They want to keep all the vittles for themselves and starve their competition.  Planned Parenthood wants to have a monopoly -- and we all know what that does to consumers and taxpayers.  Consumers pay more and have less choice.  Taxpayers get ripped-off.

Planned Parenthood is a classic case of crony capitalism, delivered by that master of Wall Street chicanery himself... Governor Goldman-Sachs 2.0, Phil Murphy.

As Murphy's Wall Street pals cut through middle America like a scythe, Murphy's party is out there dividing the working  class majority along lines of race and ethnicity and gender, hoping that they won't notice the suppository being forced upon them.  Keep them fighting amongst themselves, says Murphy.

Well not when Assemblywomen Holly Schepisi and Nancy Munoz are around!

Holly Schepisi is like a Bergen Bulldog when ripping into a bureaucrat.  The Assemblywoman asked for Planned Parenthood's financial details -- its annual budget, annual revenue and executive compensation, none of which the group's political director could provide during the hearing. 

We can only suppose that Murphy told the director to drop by and pick-up a blank check.  But Schepisi wasn't having it.

"If it was that important, how could the head not be able to explain any of these items?"  Schepisi asked the Health Committee's Democrat Chairman.  "If it wasn’t just a political football, if it was that important to women’s health, how do we not have these answers?"

Schepisi told the group:  "We have a lot of phenomenal organizations in this state that approach us for funding. The amount of money that you guys want is more than every school that I represent gets for school funding every year."

Assemblywoman Munoz advocated using the funding for organizations that aren’t supported by billions of dollars like Planned Parenthood, such as federally qualified health centers and other clinics.

“Why don’t we give this money to the New Jersey Coalition for Sexual Assault?” she asked.

Munoz noted that there are 279 walk-in clinics, 37 retail clinics, 187 urgent care clinics and 9 pediatric urgent care centers throughout the state that perform women’s health services without public funding.  Why should they be left high and dry with all the funding going to Planned Parenthood?

The efforts by the Republican Assemblywoman to keep the process honest was matched by the efforts of some labor union leaders to question why a former Lehman Brothers executive was going to get a no-questions-asked Murphy appointment to head the state's Economic Development Authority.  

Led by the redoubtable Bill Mullen, of the New Jersey State Building & Construction Trades Council, many blue-collar unions questioned the priorities of Murphy-pick Tim Sullivan, late of Lehman Brothers and currently the deputy commissioner of Connecticut’s Department of Economic & Community Development.

Like the Wall Streeter he is, Sullivan has steered a decidedly anti-blue collar course in Connecticut, giving priority to more fashionable projects in what he called the "six key business sectors" he wants to focus on: "insurance and financial services; digital media; green technology; advanced manufacturing; bioscience; and tourism. "

A state like New Jersey, with a new Governor who is committed to bringing in tens of thousands of sanctuary seekers -- many of whom lack language and job skills, should be looking to invest in projects that more broadly employ blue-collar workers and those who, through blue-collar apprenticeship, can learn the skills they need to get onto the employment ladder.

Democrats turned vigil into Anti-Trump rally

Several individuals who attended the "anti-hate" vigil at Newton Green in Sussex County on Sunday have contacted us to complain that it was over-politicized by those who ran it.  The vigil was run by Action Together Sussex County, an off-shoot of the leftwing Women's March organization.

According to the New Jersey Herald, the rally organizers included blatantly political groups like NJ 11th for Change, a political action committee opposed to Republican Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen; Wind of the Spirit, a group that conducts demonstrations in support of illegal aliens; and LGBTQ advocacy organizations.  The vigil also attracted a number of Democrat Party political campaign committees, which were all announced at the rally.  Republicans were not.

What could have been a genuinely non-partisan event -- or even a bi-partisan one along the lines of the "breakfast at the diner" conducted by Democrat Congressman Josh Gottheimer and Republican State Senator Steve Oroho -- turned instead into an anti-Trump gathering, with a speech made against the President and signs in support of the NFL players who are disrespecting the American flag during the playing of the National Anthem.

A recent poll shows that a majority of Americans support President Trump over the NFL players, with 91% of Republicans, 60% of Independents, and 43% of Democrats saying players should not kneel in protest during the National Anthem.   The controversy has also sparked a backlash by NFL fans:

The controversy prompted Taya Kyle, the widow of legendary Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle, to issue a bold challenge to the NFL via Facebook on Tuesday in response to the National Anthem protests sweeping the league.  In common with other NFL fans, Ms. Kyle is tired of seeing the NFL focus on “division and anger” instead of the message of unity that it once represented.  She is calling on the NFL to make a real difference in America and urging its players to “get off your knees” to get it done.  Here is her statement:

Dear NFL,

You were doing your part to bring people together and heal the world. That's really how healing works. We heal by loving each other and leading by example; showing people what is possible when we love each other just as we are and not only recognize our differences but celebrate them and look at how we can use them together to make us jointly better than our separate parts. You were doing your part celebrating each other based on skills, talent and a joint vision without regard to color and religion.

You were doing your part and we were doing ours. We showed up cheering and groaning together to [sic] as one. We talked in the concession lines and commiserated and celebrated our team together. Did it ever occur to you that you and we were already a mix of backgrounds, races and religions? We were already living the dream you want, right in front of you.

Your desire to focus on division and anger has shattered what many people loved most about the sport. Football was really a metaphor for our ideal world –different backgrounds, talents, and histories actually made us one big team with one big goal - to do well, to win, TOGETHER.

You are asking us to abandon what we loved about togetherness and make choices of division. Will we stand with you? Will we stand with our flag? What does it mean? What does it mean if we buy a ticket or NFL gear? What does it mean if we don't? It is the polar opposite of the easy togetherness we once loved in football.

It was simple – we loved you and you loved us – with all of our races, religions and different backgrounds. Simplicity in a crazy world was pretty awesome.

You dear NFL, have taken that. You have lost me here.

If you ever want to get off your knees and get to work on building bridges, let me know. I have found screaming about the problems in service marriages or even standing in silence in front of them, hasn't healed even one of them. On the other hand, funding the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation, building a team and rolling up my sleeves to get in the trenches during my “off time” -volunteering there outside of my paying jobs - has proven to make real change.

You have a lot of strong guys, I am sure in the off season a lot of them could build some pretty big bridges if they care enough to do the hard work. That would involve getting off their knees and getting to work though. I can do it while I raise two kids as their only parent and work through the greatest pain of my life, let's see if they can do it for the issues they say they care so much about.

NJ Leg should condemn police beheading image

The New Jersey Legislature has issued formal condemnations, in the form of resolutions, of everything from the Flag of Saint Patrick (because it looked a little like the Confederate Flag, even though it was  around hundreds of years before the Confederacy) to the State of North Carolina (because it has a law that keeps trans-men out of girls' toilets).  We would like to draw their attention to something tweeted the other day by an NFL player. 

As we know, sports stars, particularly football players, are often held as role models by children and young adults.  The citizens of New Jersey, led by their Legislature, should make clear their collective position on such violent images aimed at the police officers who are our friends, family, and neighbors. 

While we cannot and should not attempt to ban free speech, even free speech that is disturbing, we can and should reply to such speech with speech.  A strong unambiguous condemnation will let the publishers of such images know that their efforts have backfired.
