Did Sussex Democrat murder-for-hire operative commit vote fraud?

According to the United States Department of Justice, Sussex County Democrat operative Sean M. Caddle admitted to hiring two men to kill a longtime associate who had worked for him on various political campaigns. A USDOJ press release stated:

Sean Caddle, 44, of Hamburg, New Jersey, pleaded guilty by videoconference before U.S. District Judge John Michael Vazquez to an information charging him with one count of conspiracy to commit murder for hire.

“This was a callous and violent crime, and this defendant is as responsible as the two men who wielded the knife,” U.S. Attorney Sellinger said. “There is no more serious crime than the taking of another person’s life. The defendant has admitted arranging and paying for a murder by two other people. His admission of guilt means he will now pay for his crime.”

Caddle faces a maximum potential penalty of life imprisonment and a $250,000 fine.

The murdered victim was Michael Galdieri, the son of the late former State Senator James Galdieri (D). The younger Galdieri was a political operative in Hudson County. The Jersey Journal reported that firefighters responding to a blaze at Galdieri’s home had found him fatally stabbed. The medical examiner ruled his death a homicide and investigators believed the fire was meant to cover up the killing.

Sean Caddle is perhaps the most prominent Democrat political consultant living in Sussex County. According to the New York Times, Caddle worked on numerous local and state races, and was a political consultant for Bob Menendez, “collecting nearly $100,000” in one election cycle alone.

Caddle runs numerous political action committees, superPACs, and non-profit organizations. He’s not only worked for some of the top Democrats in New Jersey – but has worked on Democrat efforts all across the country. As one wag put it: “Now we know what top Sussex County Democrats get up to when they are not defaming Republicans.”

Former Senator Ray Lesniak (D) called Caddle “an all-star in terms of being a political operative.” Lesniak admitted to the New York Times that the crime Caddle had admitted to “occurred while they were working together, and that they were still in touch.” According to the Times, Caddle was an expert in “street operations” and in “working to make sure absentee ballots were delivered to election officials.” Lesniak praised Caddle’s skill at “getting out the vote” claiming that Caddle was “the best field director in the country.”

Indeed, Sean Caddle’s skills were employed by Democrats throughout the United States. He was identified in this ABC News report from August 24, 2010:

HOUSTON The Harris County Voter Registrar says he's found thousands of voter applications filed in the last three months which are fraudulent. He calls this an attack on the voter rolls of Harris County.

Harris County Voter Registrar Leo Vasquez's office has pored through thousands of voter registration applications, discovering many questionable filings. Like some which appear to be the same person with the same date of birth filing six times on the same day. And that's not all...

Vasquez said, "We have evidence indicating violations of the Texas election code, falsified documents being submitted to this governmental office and possibly violations of federal election laws."

The investigation found 1,597 instances of multiple applications for the same voter, 1,014 applications for folks already registered to vote, 325 for teenagers who are too young to register and even 25 from folks who admitted on the application they are not even US citizens.

"My office has been forced to expend countless hours and thousands of dollars of taxpayer money trying to sift through the garbage being dumped into our voter registration system," Vasquez explained.

Vasquez says the applications were all gathered by paid deputies with the group Houston Votes. Of the 25,000 applications the group filed in the last three months, only 7,193 were actually for new voters.

Sean Caddle is the director of Houston Votes, which he says is a privately funded organization which signs up voters.

"I didn't do anything wrong. I ran a legitimate program," Caddle said. "What's the motivation behind anyone else? I don't know."

Caddle says he has fired 20 to 30 of his workers as a result of filing these fraudulent applications.

These allegations and the evidence collected by the voter registrar's office will be forwarded to the district attorney's office, the secretary of state and eventually possibly the attorney general's office.

Texas Democrats worked to successfully suppress the voter fraud case, even calling in the Obama administration for support…

According to the Dallas Morning News (September 11, 2014), “Democratic congressmen from Texas have asked the U.S. Department of Justice to investigate a raid by Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott’s office that targeted a nonprofit voter registration group.”

In a Sept. 10 letter to U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, the 12 Democratic House members from Texas asked the Justice Department to open an investigation into the matter.

“This raid raises serious concerns about the biased use of state resources to prevent Texans from legally registering to vote,” the letter said.

…Reached for comment, Jerry Strickland, an Abbott spokesman, said in an email: “If the Texas Democratic Congressional delegation is interested in more than political grandstanding and is genuinely concerned with following and enforcing the law, they should demand the Department of Justice investigate Houston Votes’ illegal activity.

“Houston Votes’ own executive director admitted to attorney general investigators that they fraudulently signed voter registrations and illegally collected information to sell to ACORN-linked Project Vote – that’s precisely the kind of illegal activity the Justice Department needs to investigate,” Strickland added.

…An affidavit by Sgt. Jennifer Croswell offers a different account from what the former executive director of Houston Votes, Sean Caddle, says he told investigators.

For example, the affidavit says Caddle told Croswell he was aware that fraudulent voter registration cards were being collected by canvassers.

But Caddle said Thursday said he did not tell the investigator he was involved in or aware of fraud by canvassers.

“Did I ever sit in a room and say, `I know for sure voter fraud was taking place and I just let it happen?’ No,” he said.

In addition, the affidavit says: “Sean Caddle also stated that per instructions from his supervisor, Fred Lewis, and pursuant to a contract or agreement between Houston Votes/Texans Together Education Fund and Project Vote, he was to transmit the Houston Votes voter registration database to personnel connected to Project Vote in exchange for a financial benefit for Texans Together Education Fund.”

Lewis, the president of Texans Together, the parent nonprofit group of Houston Votes, said Thursday that he handled a planned collaboration with Project Vote, a nonprofit group based in Washington, D.C.

…In their letter to Holder, the Democratic congressmen assert that the Houston Votes investigation is “just the latest in a series of state-led attempts to disenfranchise Texas voters.”

From our current vantage, all we can add is that someone who admits to paying to have a political colleague stabbed to death and then burned is hardly likely to have qualms about paying people to commit vote fraud. But we could be wrong.

That said, perhaps GOP gubernatorial candidate Jack Ciattarelli called off his investigation into vote fraud too early. Who knows what it might have uncovered? Maybe more bodies?

Don’t use COVID-19 bailout money to cover-up Gov. Murphy’s fiscal mismanagement.

In an April 23 article published in the NJ Globe, Jose Arango, titular Chairman of the Hudson County Republican Committee came out playing defense for Democrat New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy. Murphy’s effort to get federal tax dollars to bail out decades of bad budgeting, overspending, risky investments, and a swollen political bureaucracy has been highly criticized by responsible government advocates. Both an increased cost of living and exodus of native-born New Jersey residents out of state prior to Covid-19 has been attributed to the policies Governor Murphy wants the federal tax payer to now subsidize.

Arango, who collects a tax payer fundedsalary, perpetuated the mythology that the federal government’s refusal to subsidize the pre-Covid-19 partisan agenda and bad decision making of left wing run states “will lead to more economic hardship.” Sadly, he ignores the fact that most economic hardship New Jerseyans face comes from trying to navigate the high taxes, surprise fees, hidden fines, and red tape and regulations that come with living in a blue state. Some speculate that Arango, himself on the government dole at what many believe is a low-to-no show job as “Director of Economic Development” for Jersey City, does not want reform of New Jersey’s politically blue bureaucracy as he is part of its system putting patronage and loyalty over competency and efficiency.

In keeping with the far-left propaganda points coming from Governor Murphy’s office, Arango misidentified the cause of the state fiscal challenge as he stated “we would hope President Trump would not support states going bankrupt in the wake of this illness.” Yet the reality, published by NJ.com on April 24, is that the federal government has so far sent the State of New Jersey, our municipalities, small businesses, and residents $14 billion dollars in response to the Covid-19 crisis. This historically unprecedented amount of aid for New Jersey’s governments and residents includes, but is not limited to, the $1.8 billion from the Corona Relief Fund that Governor Murphy and Arango are arguing should be used as a slush fund to cover for municipal and state mismanagement going back decades. This fund, a subset of aid within the overall $14 billion dollars in aid New Jersey has received, is meant for states to cover expenses due to the Covid-19 crisis not systemic bad budgeting and lack of fiscally responsible practices going back decades.

While Governor Murphy, Arango, and fellow far-left partisan New Jersey Representative Gottheimer, who stated (in a NJ.com article published on April 23) that he “can’t understand why we would stick it to firefighters, law enforcement, EMS, and our schools,” may pretend that this portion (less than 15% of the federal aid New Jersey has received) does not support first responders and public education, the Federal Treasury Guidelines on Corona Relief Funds show this is to be false. The Treasury Guidelines include everything from the duties of law enforcement, hospitals, and EMTs/ambulance corps during the Covid-19 crisis, the cost of e-learning for schools, Covid-19 testing, temporary medical facilities, medical transportation, the acquisition of PPE supplies, funding Covid-19 compliant safety measures at state prisons, and much more.

In the NJ Globe article, Arango states that “if we want to come out of this crisis better, we cannot burn it all down” to bolster his non-argument conflating aid to New Jeseryans with the desire of out-of-touch partisans to prevent the reform New Jersey needs to rebuild economically after the Covid-19 health crisis. Why Arango, supposedly a Republican, is joining a partisan line of attack which pretends that the historic $14 billion dollars in overall federal aid New Jersey has received, including support for our first responders and education, doesn’t exist may be inexplicable but burning anything down $14 billion in aid is not. Rather what Arango, Governor Murphy, and the rest of the disconnected leftists in our state fail to admit is that the tax, fine, fee, and spend policies of the state and municipal governments in New Jersey was out of control long before the Covid-19 virus. Their policies resulted in a substandard job generation, high taxes, high cost of living, and a lower standard of living than what could be for New Jerseyans across the economic spectrum.

Arango’s efforts to push left-wing attacks against President Trump at a time of national crisis and in defiance of the facts lay bare the type of Republican he is. Not only does he confuse the issues of pre-Covid-19 unsustainable state and local government spending (from which he benefits) with the economic needs of New Jersey’s working and middle classes, but he is directly contradicting a statement he made on social media earlier in the crisis about refraining from criticizing leadership.

Indeed, Arango, as covered in The Ridgewood Blog, posted on social media that people should not criticize
Governor Murphy in a time of crisis as if the constructive criticism he was responding to, offered by Jack Ciattarelli, a state GOP leader, was not giving voice to millions of New Jerseyans.  It is clear that Arango meant “grand standing” when he stated that criticism of Governor Murphy’s handling of the crisis was “political grand standards,” but the question remains - if according to Arango one cannot criticize Governor Murphy because he is the leader of the state during a crisis, how can Arango criticize President Trump, the leader of the country in his handling of it? Moreover, by the tortured “logic” that one must not criticize the governor even though that governor has increased the cost of living for residents and badly mismanaged the state, Arango must also be against the vocal disapproval of Governor Murphy’s policies the NJGOP started offering after following Ciattarelli’s lead. Like the far-left Democrats he allies himself with, if Arango didn’t have double standards, he wouldn’t have any at all.

Some speculate the Arango is publicly taking the side of the left-wing Democrats in their counterfactual battle with President Trump because he is concerned about his job security. The logic goes that if state and local governments are forced to right size due to decades of expansion and cost-of-living-increase policies, which has stymied collections and for which they have borrowed money to make up the difference on their overspending, Arango and those with low to no show jobs may be forced to retire.  Indeed, Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop, who was a serious contender for the 2018 Democrat gubernatorial nomination before Governor Murphy’s massive round of donations to Democrat Party institutions all but ensured his nomination, has attempted to shrink Jersey City municipal government by offering early retirement buyouts to 400 municipal employees, freeze salaries, and suspend new hires.

While many public employees perform valuable functions (first responders and educators in particular), it is clear even Democrat Jersey City Mayor Fulop believes at least 400 of them to be non-essential to a functioning city. The question for New Jeseryans is how many more off the hundreds of thousands of state and municipal full-time equivalent employees are a non-essential use of our money? How many are, as many believe Arango to be, political appointees who do little to nothing other than cost New Jerseyans more and more of their paycheck? Does Arango believe that state and municipal government should continue to mismanage the people’s money and overcharge residents, reaching deeper into the people’s wallet during economically tough times such as the current crisis?

While we may never get an answer to these questions, the recent past suggests he cares more about serving the Democrat power structure than defending the New Jerseyans.  While the Jersey City Board of Education is infamously known for raising taxes in March during the Covid-19 crisis, and one of the votes in favor was Noemi Velazquez (well known for religious bigotry), what is less known is that not only did Arango use his nominal title to endorse Velazquez and her ticket but he also used official Hudson County Republican Committee funds to do so in a mailer. Surely then, as Arango has remained silent on the JCBOE tax increases by the extremist Democrats he supported, it becomes clear he does not care about lowering the cost of living for New Jerseyans during the crisis nor for creating a climate of job generation and economic prosperity. Rather, to all but those asleep or with a vested interested pretending otherwise, it is painstakingly clear that Arango only comes out publicly to support the Democrat bosses he de facto works for.

From supporting those who increase the cost of living for the people of Jersey City to attacking real Republicans leaders such as Jack Ciattarelli; from benefiting from the corrupt system of political patronage which keeps New Jersey from its full potential to taking Democrat Governor Murphy’s side in his partisan crusade against President Trump - Arango has a demonstrable history of standing both against Republicans and hardworking New Jerseyans. From always growing budgets to ever increasing regulatory fee’s, highest in the nation property taxes to risky investments, an army of thousands upon thousands of official and unofficial political appointees to a constantly rising cost of living, New Jersey cannot afford more of the same. The out of touch Democrats – Governor Phil Murphy, Representative Gottheimer, the JCBOE, “Republican” Jose Arango and many more, may never get it, but New Jerseyans understand that if we are to recover after Covid-19 we need more than complaining that the $14 billion dollars in federal aid to New Jersey is not enough, we need real reform.

LUPE should lead investigation on Trenton sex scandal

Yesterday, Latinas United for Political Empowerment (LUPE) PAC sent Senate Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg (D-37) the names of four Latina women who they asked to be added to the “ad-hoc committee” that Weinberg is proposing address “misogyny and sexual harassment” in Trenton.  LUPE president Laura Matos put out this statement (in part):

“While the ongoing coverage of the #MeToo movement has touched upon the topic of the diversity of the women victimized by sexual harassment and assault, women of color are still underrepresented in this coverage.  It has been shown over the past three decades that women of color have vastly different experiences in terms of sexual harassment and assault.”

Let’s leave aside the false construct of “women of color” for the moment and concentrate on things that matter like economic class and the barriers that language may impose on people.  We recall a case in Hudson County in which a judge (yes, a judge) was specifically targeting and sexually preying upon economically disadvantaged working class women, many of whom were not proficient in the English language. 

Cases like this are obviously different from what is suffered by more powerful, economically secure women, so Ms. Matos’ point should be seriously addressed.

On the other hand, if Ms. Matos is arguing that those in power perceive Latina women as especially vulnerable to coercion, that is a different matter.  Is there data on this?  If so, Ms. Matos' group might be in a good position to collect testimony.  We should note that this was a factor in a recent report we received about a senior member of the Speaker’s office who appeared to be targeting a junior staffer.
   
According to press reports, Senator Weinberg has invited veteran lobbyist Jeannine LaRue, political operative Julie Roginsky and Patricia Teffenhart, executive director of the New Jersey Coalition Against Sexual Assault, Senate Majority Counsel Alison Accettola and Senate Minority Executive Director Christine Shipley to serve on the panel, whose membership will be finalized later this week.  Outside of Ms. Teffenhart, this appears to be an insiders’ panel and we seriously doubt that someone like Ms. Accettola will actually call out her bosses or a lobbyist like Ms. LaRue will be in an economic position to serve as an independent whistleblower.  It simply isn’t credible.

Senator Weinberg knows this – and her efforts appear more and more to be along the lines of an attempt to seize a potential scandal, control it before it gets out of hand, and then brush it under the rug.  Like they did the rape case, still unresolved, of Katie Brennan. Nobody was charged.  Blame was sufficiently obfuscated and dispersed.  The Trenton way.     
 
In her statement on Monday, we found it particularly hypocritical of Senator Weinberg to condemn the New Jersey State League of Municipalities and the New Jersey State Chamber of Commerce for what she called their “see no evil responses.”  In fact, the same can be said of Senator Weinberg – and not just concerning what goes on at some annual event – but about what happens every day, day in, day out, in Trenton.
 
Senator Weinberg is part of the power structure in Trenton.  So how many of those in that power structure sleep with staff members who they have the power to fire at will?  How many of her colleagues have sexual dependents on their payrolls?  Would the taxpayers approve of paying for this?
 
The military doesn’t allow such fraternization.  Neither do enlightened corporations.  What message does it send?  What tone does it set – when powerful people are allowed to hire paramours or groom them at the workplace? 
 
This is where the rot begins.  Everyone knows what is going on, everyone sees it, people are rewarded, predators are lauded and further empowered – and nothing is said.  And Senator Weinberg is somehow surprised when it goes outside the Trenton workplace and occurs at the social gatherings of such people?  Don’t start at the fringes – clean it up at the source!     
 
If Senator Weinberg is serious about what she put out in her press release, she might wish to start with her Democrat colleague in the nearby 32nd District…

This has been out in the public domain since 2011 – nearly a decade – and it happened just down the road from where Senator Weinberg lives!  And she’s putting out press releases in 2019 suggesting that this kind of misogynistic behavior is news to her?  We have to ask… are you for real?
 
And why haven’t the members of Congress who represent Bergen and Hudson Counties spoken up about this State Senator?  Why haven’t we heard from Congressmen Josh Gottheimer (D-5), Albio Sires (D-8), Bill Pascrell (D-9), or Donald Payne (D-10)?  These men have all been quick to blame political opponents for indiscretions but are mute when it comes to their political allies.  Don’t they understand that nothing will ever change that way?    
 
There are many serious people in politics and public policy.  You have people like Sue Altman on the Left and Regina Egea on the Right.  But there are a lot more jumped-up, wannabe political celebrities.  And like all celebrities, they think they are special.  They think taxpayers’ money is their money.  They think the voters are their subjects – to be bossed, mandated, manipulated, and ordered about.  They think people are put on earth for them to consume.
 
The institutional misogyny that pervades the Trenton Establishment will never be adequately addressed by a pillar of that Establishment.  Senator Weinberg has too many deals in place and, as a member of the legislative  leadership, she’s part of the problem.  One need only be reminded of how she single-handedly prevented the bi-partisan Human Trafficking and Child Exploitation Prevention Act from even getting a hearing in committee – in spite of this legislation having enough co-sponsors of both parties to ensure its passage.
 
Instead of a committee composed of people who knew about this for years but remained silent, how about bringing in some average taxpayers – the people who foot the bill for all this hanky panky – and let them get outraged.  Maybe a few heads would roll? 
 
Not to worry though, this will get reported on and written about… thanks to Senate President Steve Sweeney’s mighty efforts to piss-off as many working women authors as is possible, thanks to his efforts to destroy their careers.  It’s just another facet of Trenton’s non-stop WAR ON WOMEN.  And this time, you won’t get to contain it using an insider committee like you did with the Brennan cover-up.  

Did someone dump in Alan Steinberg’s brain and neglect to flush it?

Over the past year or so, we have been watching Alan Steinberg’s irretrievable slide into the dark waters of a wannabe fellow-traveler.   With today’s column – the one attacking Republican Bob Hugin and praising the Democrats’ nomination of a 1960’s era socialist as that party’s face in Florida – Steinberg has finally hit crush depth.

We are genuinely concerned for Alan, a one-time devotee of Her Bluebloodedness Christie Todd Whitman, and recall how slavishly Steinberg attempted to defend her disastrous policies – fiscally ruinous – for which every taxpayer in New Jersey continues to suffer.  In recognition of such devotion, the Whitmanites kept Steinberg in patronage heaven.

But with the advent of Donald Trump, something went terribly wrong with Alan.  He’s in touch with too much of the old crowd, most of whom switched party in the Year of Our Lord 2008, when Heaven sent down the anointed one to dwell amongst and lead us.  We hate to remind Alan that when the folks who voted for He Who Must Be Obeyed got through all the smoke and bullshit only to realize that they were still living in their mother’s basement, without a job (but in plenty of debt) – these same folks voted for a newer, coarser savior… The Donald. 

The Bluebloods, who Steinberg seems so intent on virtue-signaling to, never got over their rejection by the vast working and middle classes who make up most of America’s voters.  They are not concerned by people like Andrew Gillum, who they long ago sponsored, co-opted, and turned into salon pets.  Corporate America has been pouring money into the Left for generations, with the understanding that when the Left does get power, it leaves them alone and is focused instead on the average American taxpayer.

That’s the great culpability of the 1960’s era New Left – bourgeois academics who found that it was easier to take the rich man’s money and make war on the working class… to compound a philosophy of “identity” that would split the mighty working class into white and black, male and female, gay and straight, urban and rural… to allow it to endlessly battle itself.  And in the time since, economic inequality has grown to the point where, if you believe the Washington Post, the richest 1 percent own more wealth than at any time in the last 50 years.  If you believe the New York Times, the richest one percent hold more wealth than the bottom 90 percent combined.  That’s what the New Left’s identity bullshit and the fracturing of the working class has got us… vast economic inequality.

As for the race between Republican Bob Hugin and the incumbent Democrat, Senator Bob Menendez, is Steinberg serious?

Yes, we do remember that Menendez was once the pet of Governor Tom Kean and that a great many of the most vulgarly rich, formerly Republican, Bluebloods still carry a torch for “that nice young man” from Hudson County.  The trouble is, that “nice young man” grew up to be a corpulent bowl of putrid corruption – and he’s not from Hudson County anymore, he’s from Washington, DC. 

Hey, maybe it’s not all his fault, that place will do it to you, but after the shit he’s pulled, he owns it.  You can’t help your rich buddy import women into the United States and still expect to be called a civilized human being.  It’s a crime against nature.  And that’s before we examine the policies pursued by Bob Menendez… like wanting to waste money on a border wall with Canada (yep, like in South Park) or never meeting a war that he didn’t want to send some blue-collar kids to fight.  Hey, did this guy ever serve himself?  Does that make him a chicken hawk?

So piss on Alan Steinberg’s prognosticating… it’s all just aid and comfort for a very bad guy who has a lot of old-fashioned, formerly Republican, majorly blueblood friends.  And Alan, get hold of yourself, you don’t need those bluebloods’ approval to feel relevant.  Screw them.  Resist.

Will legislator be sued for trying to silence blog?

What did Assemblyperson Gail Phoebus mean when she told her Assembly colleague that Andover Township was going to silence Bill Winkler?

Phoebus, a former Andover Township Committee member, has targeted Winkler claiming that he is the "founder" of the Sussex County Watchdog blog.  Phoebus knows better, as the blog was created at the time of her first run for countywide office in 2012.  In fact, Phoebus' campaign mail featured the Watchdog in it, so she should know that the blog was founded by the late Rob Eichmann and has been maintained by a group of his associates ever since. Phoebus herself has contributed numerous stories to Watchdog.

Sussex County Watchdog has a long history with Andover Township that of late has become contentious.  The Watchdog has complained about Andover Township's failure to follow OPRA (Open Public Records Act) rules and has written about its failure to abide by the Open Public Meetings Act.  The blog acted as a whistleblower when it uncovered the improper way in which a recent resolution was drafted and passed.  Now that the blog has criticized Phoebus and her former colleagues in the Andover Township government, Phoebus is angry with the Watchdog.

What has upset Andover Township's politicians the most is Sussex County Watchdog's coverage of the former headquarters of the notorious American National Socialist Bund -- Andover Township's own Camp Nordland.  According to Assemblyperson Phoebus, township officials became incensed when the Watchdog made the following recommendations:

That Andover Township place a plaque at the site of the American National Socialist Bund's Camp Nordland, to honor the victims of the ideology practiced there; and that Andover Township donate all proceeds from events held at the former Nazi Beer Hall to organizations representing the victims of the Holocaust and their families.

Phoebus told a fellow legislator that Andover Township was going to "get" the person they held responsible.  And now, it appears that an attempt is being made. 

On Monday, October 31st, the Sussex County Watchdog blog posted a report about how an old Quaker gentleman had been accosted by Sussex County Freeholder Director George Graham and two Andover Township Committeemen.  The blog report is posted here:

The incident took place at a GOP event held at the former headquarters of the notorious American National Socialist Bund.  For some strange reason, instead of demolishing the former Camp Nordland, the town leaders of Andover Township have maintained the building that hosted numerous Nazi, Fascist, and Ku Klux Klan rallies in the 1930's. 

The day after the Watchdog blog posted its story, the Deputy Mayor of Andover Township filed a harassment complaint against the old Quaker who was accosted by the three Sussex County politicians.  According to witnesses, one of the Andover Committeemen had threatened to "punch someone in the face," while another Andover Committeeman had threatened a bystander earlier that evening by saying "you better not be his (the old Quaker) friend."   

Of course, the people who run Andover Township would have you believe that it happened the other way round.  They want you to believe that a 60 year old Quaker assaulted a 40 year old Marine and his two comrades.  They want you to believe that writing about their political corruption is "harassment".

As David Danzis of the New Jersey Herald reported today, the Andover Township Deputy Mayor has filed a complaint against the alleged blogger:

Really?  In America?  Are they really playing the old brown-shirt trick of beating up the Jew and then claiming he started it, in order to have him arrested?  Shame on the elected and appointed officials of Andover Township and shame on the residents who elected them and then stood by and let it happen.

Filing a false report is a serious offense, as is the attempt to deprive American citizens from exercising their First Amendment rights -- both the right to report the news and opinion, and the right to read it.  Of course, the former Hudson County Democrats who have switched their party registration and now occupy positions of power on the Sussex County Freeholder Board (Graham) and in Andover Township are following the playbook of where they came from.

A few years ago there was a similar case in Hudson County when the mayor of a city there decided that he wanted to "take down" an anonymous website that was publishing news and opinions that he didn't want published.  The mayor and his son conspired to "take down the website and to identify, intimidate, and harass those who operated and were associated with the website."  The United States Department of Justice takes such civil rights violations very seriously and the feds arrested both the mayor and his son.  The son took the rap and was convicted in federal court.     

Is there a similar conspiracy in Sussex County?  Watchdog knows the names of a great many political figures in Sussex County who were aware of this matter well before the accused was and that Assemblyperson Phoebus herself was making calls about it, spreading false information, and that she has expressed her animosity towards the Watchdog website and the individuals she claims are associated with it.  Yes, this stinks to high heaven! 

Will this end up in federal court?  If it does, it will impact you greatly if you are a taxpayer in Andover Township.  Remember, you elected them.  And you are responsible when they behave like fascist thugs.  As they say, stay tuned...
